| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (A month later)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It had been a little over a month and I was now almost five months pregnant. I started to show not to long after I had talked to my mom and at first it wasn't anything I couldn't hide. Dillon said he couldn't see anything but I could. I knew. Then it became more apparant. First I had to keep the top botton on my jeans undone, then I had to keep lowering the zipper. After that I resorted to wearing sweats a lot. Thank God it was summer and I didn't have to go to school. But once it got to where my clothes were getting too tight I new I had to go shopping for new ones. Maxie wanted to go but I knew that if she seen that the clothes I were getting were a size or two bigger than I normally wore, she would start piecing the pieces together, either that or she would think I was just getting fat. So I declined and told her that Dillon and I were going to go so we could be together. Dillon had gotten a job at ELQ with Ned, telling Ned that he didn't want to use money that was only his because his mom or dad had given it to him. He had told him that he wanted to make his own money, which in actuality was partially true. We had figured up how much money he and I had, which was a lot but we had to think on a bigger scale now. He only got so much a month, which he called his monthly allowance. He was not able to have total control of his money until he turned 21. So he only got so much a month and had decided to get a job to bring in some more. "You can never have too much money" he had said. So we went shopping, thankfully I wasn't big enough yet were I had to start wear maternity clothes, but we bought some for later on and because these clothes were uncomfortable and once I told Mac and my mom then I would be able to wear them freely. I was showing enough to were I had to get things that would hang losely on me. Maxie was the first to notice the change in my wardrobe and had questioned me about it but had dropped it when I blew off her questions. She still kept insisting that something was wrong and she would find out, but it would all be over with today. Mom was flying in, in about a half hour and once she was back home Dillon and I were going to tell them and Maxie all at once. I had called Dillon shortly after talking to my mom and told him about the plans, in which he agreed to, glad that this wouldn't be a secret much longer. I even convinced my mom and Maxie not to tell Mac, under the pretenese that it would be a suprise, but I really just didn't want him to question me as to what was so important that I needed mom here to tell the two of them. Why I couldn't just tell him. "How are you two doing?" Dillon asked with a huge smile on his face as he looked at me. We were on our way to pick up mom from the airport, he had one hand on the steering wheel the other gently rubbing my belly. "We are fine." I said smiling back at him. "How did the doctors appointment go yesterday? I am really sorry I couldn't go with you, but I couldn't get the day off. I couldn't tell Ned why I would need to go to the doctors with you and he was too swamped, he wouldn't let me leave." Dillon said sadly as he briefly looked at me and then back to the road. We pulled into the parking garage at the airport, and after finding a parking space we got out of the car. "It went well, the baby is doing good and the doctor told me that I could find out the sex of the baby but I don't really want to know, plus I didn't want to find out with out you there" I said as I grabbed my purse and my bottle of water before shutting the door to the car. I walked over Dillon and he took my hand as we walked into the airport. We found the direction of the terminals and after going through security we slowly walked down to where mom would be getting off of her plane. I had already told her that it would be Dillon and I picking her up. I wanted the two of them to meet and for her to see what he is like before we tell them. It is already going to be bad enough, I just don't want them to meet for the first time when I tell them that I was pregnant. We were waiting at the back of all of the people that were also waiting for relatives, friends, business partners and loved ones to get off the plane. I was standing infront of Dillon leaning against his chest, his arms wrapped around me when they started letting everyone off of the plane. Mom was the first one off and as soon as I seen her I jumped and ran to her, our hug was tight but quick and I was sure she didn't notice my stomach being any bigger. She cupped my face in her hands and kissed my forehead before looking deep into my eyes. "You look older, more mature, you know that? You look so beautiful. Now where is Dillon?" She asked as she looked around. I spotted Dillon standing back where we had been waiting and lead mom over to him. For the first time in the years I had known him he actually looked shy, like he didn't know what to do. "It's nice to finally meet you Miss Jones" he said as he stuck his hand out for her to shake. I rolled my eyes at his modesty and could have predicted my moms responce, like clock work I was right. "Oh give me a hug, and don't you dare call me that, call me Felicia." She said with a huge smile across her face. I could tell she already liked him. "So who all knows that I am coming?" Mom said as Dillon put her suitcase into the trunk of his car and we all got in. I was going to let her sit up front but she insisted on sitting in the back. She was always going out of her way to make other people happy. That seemed to be her biggest attribute but sometimes her orst flaw. "Just us and Maxie, Mac has no clue. He thinks Dillon and I went out to Kelly's and then to the park." I said as I looked back at her. She hadn't changed in the months that it had been since I last saw her. She had been out taking care of Nanna for the last couple years, coming to see us every couple of months. Usually we would go to Texas to see her. The ride back to my house was funny to say the least. Dillon and my mom hit it of great, which made be very happy, and my mom kept telling him about when Maxie and I were younger all the silly and embarassing things that we used to do. He ate it all up of course and I knew this wouldn't be the last time I heard it, he would surely tease me about it countless times in the future. When we parked in the driveway I went into the house and made sure that Mac wasn't home yet and told Maxie that we were back. She ran down the stairs and right by me as she went to mom and hugged her. As much as Maxie would deny it she missed mom a lot. "Look at you!" Mom said as she ran her hands over Maxie's hair. "You both are so grown now, I hate being away from you two." She said as her and Maxie walked up to the house. She had one arm around Maxie and put her other one around me as we walked into the house. |
