A very nice summer day out there with lots of sunshine, very low humidity and cool temps. This nice weather will continue for Monday with high temps in the low 80's expected. The humidity will begin to increase Tuesday with temps climbing to the mid 80's. More humidity and warmer temps are expected for Wednesday, but we should remain dry. A cold front will approach the area late Wednesday and Thursday, which will bring our next chance for showers and storms.
Yes... it is true. The time has come for the GP forecast to end.(hopefully not forever) As many of you know, I will be transferring from UofM - Dearborn to Central Michigan this fall to study meteorology. Since I will not be in GP anymore, the GP forecast will have to end while I am up at school. If I don't get a full time job or internship next summer ('04), I will most likely start up the GP forecast again. I will let you know when I have decided what to do. During the fall and winter months, I will be sending out one message a month to keep the Yahoo group "active." I may include updates on weather trends and maybe an update about what I am doing.
It has been my pleasure sending out this GP Forecast for the past few years. I have learned a lot about the weather during this time. I hope you have enjoyed reading my forecast. It has been a lot of fun. Thanks for all of your comments and criticisms. Many of you have wished me luck as well. Thanks!
A few people have contacted me saying they cannot live without the GP forecast. With this in mind, I will see how the first few months go up at CMU, and if everything is fine, I will consider sending out an abbreviated forecasts every other day or when active weather is expected. (something like that) This is why I am keeping the GP Forecast Yahoo group up and running so if I start up the forecast again, it will be easy to do. I may also put up a few polls to see what you guys want if I have time to do a forecast, so check for those in a month or two.

Becoming mostly sunny. Pleasant. Low clouds and fog possible in the early morning. Light and varible winds. UV Index: 7. This is in the HIGH range. High 83.
TUESDAY AUGUST 19th
Becoming mostly sunny. Low clouds and fog possible in the early morning. More humid. Low 64. High 87.

Mostly sunny. Humid. Low 67. High 87. (could get to 90 degrees)
