All the lots in Great Pines are either sold or spoken for (small down payment). By the end of summer 2004 the cul-de-sac and Conifer Lane should be completed. The rest of Spruce Lane should be ready for the last nine houses, for which some foundation holes have already been dug.

January 4, 2004 There hasn't been much activity since Page Three that is visible from the outside. The builder and developer have parted company so until a new "framer" is found all activity will be on the inside. Phil, the painter, shows up at 6am and paints until 8am and then goes elsewhere. The Gachelin's and Seybold's houses are almost complete and some foundation work done on lot #19, the Cardinale's, not much for pictures.

Work has stopped on Ellie's house until a new framer is found. 1-4-04 Only inside work to be done on the Seybold house. 1-4-04
The Cruickshank foundation has a cap to keep the snow out. 1-4-04 The foundation is in for the Carnivale house. 1-4-04

January 17, 2004 Good news! I was talking to Ace (young) and he said they had arranged to have new builders start as early as next week (1-19-04). Already some work has been done on the house on lot #11 and in subzero weather, too. This could bring construction back on schedule.

Some sad news to report: Henry Orr died of cancer so they will not be coming to Great Pines.

January 25, 2004 There's been a lot of activity despite the freezing temperatures. Ace is as good as his word; there are three crews working, one on Lot #11, one on Ellie Goldthwaite's house, and one on the Carnivale's.

January 27, 2004 What a difference a day makes. The roof is going up on Ellie's house and the house on lot #11 is almost weather tight. The temperature remains in the single digits but the work continues.

This house will be weather tight soon. 1-27-04
