The world of Jhiland is at its birth.  First there were only simple life forms, but the Ur-Magic, a strong core of unaligned magic at Jhiland's core, is evolving the world faster than anyone could ever have imagined.

Those beings already aligned to a color find themselves competing with the colorless Ur-Magic flooding the world, changing color alignments and sometimes removing them altogether.

The Lore of Jhiland is ever-growing, chronicling the dawn of the new world.  What will happen?  What fate will it face?  The strong will survive, but the Ur-Magic is both destroying and creating the world.

Collector's Highlights

The Lore expansion includes randomly inserted foil-finished premium cards in a limited, 306 all-new, black-bordered card set, featuring 88 rares, 88 uncommons, 110 commons, and 20 basic lands.

Game Features

Lore introduces mechanics based on protections and color.

• Colorless cards -- These cards, including creatures and spells, have no color and are not artifacts!
• Tag -- Whenever a creature with Tag deals combat damage to a creature, that creature's color changes.
• Repeat -- Turn cards in your hand into copies of an already played spell.
• Color-Sensitive Costs -- When certain colors are used in a colorless cost, different effects happen.
