Event of the Week
(or until I get another)
07.03.03 --- What a night. This week it should be Events of the week. But since it all happened in one night, I have to include it in this week's events. First we did a little bridge jumping-- dangerous to some, wimpy to the Cedarkids. Later (11:30) at night we played a little street ball.. I'll let the pictures tell the story.
The death-defying bridge (over nasty green water)...
...even the fish don't like the water
Ben jumps as Brian watches... Heights cause Brian to wait a few minutes...
Brian finally jumps (again) as I swim in from my second jump...
Greg Beyer does a back-flip with a twist...
We had to get out of our wet clothes so we could spend some time in Grand Haven... this is where we changed.
The best part about the jumping experience... the sign, not the guy... and yes, they're real.
Ok, so I am not a gambler, but winning $20 from a one-dollar instant lotto ticket (second time I ever bought one) could make me one...
On the way home we tested the goodness of the hearts of Michiganders by faking that our car broke down... No one stopped...
There is nothing like finding clothes from your elementary days and fitting into them. But when you go around town late at night and playing some serious basketball, you're retarded. So we did it. We walked up and down the main streets, posing for serious pictures (upper left), playing bball with the garbage cans (upper right), taking pictures with college women (bottom left), and chasing each other down the middle of the main streets of Holland throwing the ball back and forth (bottom right). After many strange looks, comments, stares, and honks, we found our night to be successful. Let freedom ring...
