We played an all ages show last night at Wyong again last night. Unfortunatley the crowd numbers were low. But that is what we have come to expect at that venue. I thought we did a good should for the handful of people there. Plus I gave away some picks. It was great to see Fullride20" and I had a good chat about shit with some of those guys.

After the show I went and checked out the action at Tallies. I have to say that Sarah Griesser's band Saturday Rain totally kick ass. Keep your eye on those cats. The great news for us is that they are playing again nest week when we play so I get to see her whole set.

Hi.

We played at the Cambridge hotel last night, I guess rehearsals pay off as we were not as sloppy as the last few gigs. Unfortunatley, Seggression were playing next door, at the same time as us so our numbers were a little low, but not bad enough to complain about. Next time we play there Primary will be in the room next door. Hopefully we can organise so they are playing AFTER us and not DURING us...
Once again, the roadcrew from hell paid off and made our job easier. We saw some Rabits. You jushdont undeshtand...

Howdy.

We finished Pixie at Tim Farris's studio 2 nights ago. The end product was really cool. Some guitar tones could be better, but Hey it's only a demo so we can send to some people in Newcastle. I had a really good time doing vocals. Baz made it fun and I relaxed and belted out a good note or two. (Shame there is more than two notes in the song.) Usually I hate doing vocals. I'M A GUITARIST but this session was quick and the recording process was fun. I can't wait until Tim gets back from tour so we can finish all the songs.

But please don't get me started on DAT tapes....

Hello.

I'm back. I thought I better report on last nights show. We had a bit of a shocker. Lots of technical problems lead us to believe we had an average gig. Firstly Heidi's bass was fucking up so that got us off on the wrong foot. Then once we had that fixed the pa started to cut in and out to the point where we had to stop mid song. I was not a happy camper. However it was not all bad. We did manage to get our shit together for the last few songs. But when you get off on the wrong foot it can be hard to come back around. Luckily we had a great crowd who were really suppportive as well as a killer opening band (the Fix) who did a great job.

We also have to thank Luke and Steve in a box for their help being roadies for us. You guys really help us out and that is areally good thing. We are forever thankful.

We sold a bunch of cds and then went to our friends for after show drinks and drowned our blues away.

We are going back to the studio this week to continue some work there and we will be in Newcastle this Friday so that will be good.

See Ya!!!!

ps. Unlike the wanna be Cam on our message board, I do not wanna go solo.

Hey everybody!  (Hey Dr Nick)

For once, I (being Heidi) have decided to do a diary entry...Well, actually Cam told me to, but life is just so cool that I didn't argue.
On Thursday evening, we were lucky enough to be invited to Tim Farris's studio in Frenchs Forest to finish recording the tracks we recorded at Troy Horse Studios in November. It was a very awesome moment (8 hrs) for the three of us. Sitting in Tim's studio, you realise how much that band actually achieved. The man has so many gold and platinum records that some of them are stacked in the corner for lack of space. His Aria sits proudly on display in front of the mixing desk, along with a pictuer of himself with THE Mike Myers at the opening of Austin Powers along with 3 Stolichnaya girls (who then turned up to his 40th birthday 3 days later with many more girls and a shitload of stollies). We have SO far to go. In fact, somewhat ironically, sitting in Tim's studio makes you feel like u will never make it...
One of the most boast-worthy moments was playing his guitars, from a swanky looking Godwin to his, wait for it, 1956 Fender stratocaster (we looked one up on the internet that was in a similar condition and was worth $34,500).
Baz (matthew Barry) is an extremely talented producer, having an ear for music that continually eludes me. He can pick up the most feint and obscurest noises and refuse to go on until they are fixed (consequently, we are returning on Monday). He is doing us the greatest favour and we owe him heaps. I hope one day we have the notoreity and money to pay him back...
All up, a wonderful night had by us (I'm not sure about Baz, it is work for him and there is only so many times u can listen to Pixie without getting a little annoyed...)
