| 11th of August 12:24am Another Show at Ettalong another performance of War Pigs. And do we mind? NO!!! We always have a blast there. There is something about that place that is fun. Is it Adam who runs the show and his enthusiasm? Is it the locals that come to every show we do there? I don't know but we always have fun. Tonight we played all the usual songs with much gusto. Heidi and I got into a wrestle which almost ended with a Marshall on her head. (I won...of course) But that is not to say she did not put in her best effort. It was fun. Unfortunatly that was the last show for about 2-3 weeks. We have been going non stop since November last year and we are taking some time of to prepare for a cd and do a little bit of skiing. In other newz we were judges at teh Newcastle Uni band comp final last thursday. We won last year and it is a perk to do it. We got free beer and had a killer time. The bands were good and it is hard to tell someone what you think is wrong with them. Of course there is nothing wrong if they love what they are doing. Plus if you don't like their music you have a bias. It sux but free beer is free beer so we tooko ne for the team. (Except Heidi she drove) CYA!!! CAm 4/8/02 Wow what a good show we had last night. When we started the pub was empty. No one at all! Then about 3rd song into the set a whole heap of people arrived. From people who had seen us before to new people who liked us and stayed. It was very rad and helped our self esteem. We sold all our cds that we had that night and got a lot of positive feedback. From the 2 drunken "Samurai's" who were wanting to "whoo" Richard. I encouraged them because it would have been fun to watch but they didn't. There were also some very rads looking punk rockers who looked likethey had just stepped of a London Train Station. We met a nice guy named Connor who chatted with Heidi for ages. I hope we meet again and hang out. He and his friends seemed really nice. So were Twin Psyche who were playing after us. We had a little chat and their bass player was a huge Buffy fan and loved our intro. That was cool. We chucked I'm Sick which we had not played in ages plus a reworked version of a song called "Always the Bridesmaid that we have rarely played...ever. I think we did ok. See ya later Cam 3rd of August 2:19am Hello Man did we have a fun show tonight. It was one of those ones where you have heaps of fuck ups but still have a good time doing it. Heidi was all over the shop. I got my pinky stuck in the bridge of my guitar then played so hard that I pushed the string off the bridge. It was cool. We had some really great support there and made some new friends who wanted cds and the like. Man it was fun. As rock as we play we really are a punk band at heart. Cam 26/7/02 We did a pretty fun show last night at the Bull 'n' Bush in Sydney. We opened for Fullride20" who seemed to have a good following. That aided us a bit. Even though we did pull a good crowd in a town where we are new. I thought we played really well and the change of set list helped get the fire burning. There was a special cd offer with the show where Fullride and us combined tracks as a samplier of both bands. It got snapped up quick by the punters. Dick made some new fans that all they could yell was "drummer boy" after every song and "play a drum solo". That was cool. All in all it was a really fun gig and I hope we can get back there soon. xxxooo Cam July 21 Hey kids! In case any of you are wondering, yes we got fucked around with the gig the other night. We got booked a couple of months ago to do it and left it at that. Luckily Dick was reading the paper on Friday and noticed that we were not advertised. It seems that the gig had been changed but the booking agent neglected to let the band know. We found out about a half hour before we were going to leave. Shit Happens! I'm over it. But not this cold I've got. I feel like shit. Anycrap it was probably a benefit to my health that we did not play this week. Our 1st weekend without a band commitment since November. WOW! Cam July 13 Drama drama drama. Always a drama with this band. After a huge delay and the pissing off of some people we finally did a show last night. We are not mad at anyone but fuck there are people mad at us for sticking up for our fans. But fuck 'em. I'd rather have the fans happy rather than some whiney pricks. The fans paid money to see us. What have they done? Anyway when we finally went on we went off. Rob mixed a hell of a sound (but I don't expect any less) All the negative vibes lead to us having something to prove. I hope we proved. The 1st 4 tunes were like 3 animals tearing into their food. After that we cooled off a bit and had a great time playing for the dudes that love to bang their heads with us.
