hey yall, i guess i should write something here. well, i pretty much agree with my fellow band members in their rants, especially yotam's. this place does pretty much suck. anywayz, mongeese friggin rule, more than most monkeys. however, Night Monkey is the best, almost up there with us. he kicks so much ass. aight, on to the rant. the topic... the current state of music. IT BLOWS. that is why we are here. the industry is owned by people trying to make money, and they appeal to the to the largest group of consumers, 10-14 year old chix. hence we get backstreet shit and other carbon copies. however, they sell records because chix think they?re hot or wateva, and they hav absolutely no talent watsoeva. quite frankly girls, (most) have no taste in music. i mean, GOD. POP=SHIT. they dont write their own music, they dont play instruments, they dont produce their records, choreograph their dance routines, they have vocal coaches, people tellin em how to act, dress, think, all for the goal of selling records, and they even need back up singers when they ?sing? live. its not music people, its robots set on ?sell?. anyone who buys a britney spears album, n'sync, or any of the others who look, act, and sound the same, is not a fan of music, and doesnt even know wat real music is. pop is the absolute bottom of the barrel, if it is even considered music. the rest of the stuff out there, even if it kinda sux, is at least creative and original, (except for rappers who sample, ASSES). rap is aight, i mean the lyrics are there, even tho many rappers curse every otha word and have absolutely no content to their music. also, beats are like generated, not really played with instruments. but all in all, it can be respected, and considered music. but music, is all about the music, playing instruments, melodies and shit. putting good lyrics, good flow, good content, good message, to music that is made by people with talent; that is where real music is. or just be absolutely fakkin hilarious like us. but hey, we got more lyrical skillz than 90% of the musicians out there, and musical talent better than most as well. the only question is whether the world is ready for us... |
