So i guess the first observation i have to make is the fallacy of human thinking, in terms of how we view each other. Im not taking about mass racism or public opinion, but about specific human interactions and the appearances they cast. They say the first appearance lasts a life time, and it really does, although the first appearance takes a lot longer to create than one would think. People dont have standards which they set for others, but rather they set the standards for themselves for others to see. A person can act a certain way in a relationship, and they are slated to act like that forever unless the other party sees it fit to attempt to change them. Once youve created a standard for yourself you cannot go back on that, no matter the standard the other person creates.
Going into a relationship with another person, regardless of the type of relationship, its a shot in the dark as to how to appear. If you put more into it than the other person, you are expected to give that much under all circum-stances, and asking that the other person give more will seem like demanding too much.
This is why people dont get along, because either one side is giving way more than the other, but the standards were set like that for such a long time period that it becomes normal, leaving one side completely unfulfilled, or the two sides are to weary that giving too much can lead to let downs and diss-apointments so they end up giving the minimum. Either way, with these types of social problems people will forever be trapped in games of expectations with each other, leading to nothing but dissapointments.
