Who are these Goreans?

Although one might assume that the Gorean novels are mostly read by youngish men, who can enjoy the action and use the sex as a masturbatory aid, I have noted that those Goreans who choose to share any aspect of their off-line life with the wider community are often older people. Quite a lot of the men have some military training. Often they seem to be people searching. A very high proportion are divorced or are in unhappy marriages. Often the honour they speak of so often does not seem to require them to keep their marriage vows, or their commitments to their children. The girls come from all walks of live.

Like the fact that most Gorean men do not live and work within a single caste all their life, most Gorean slave girls do not live anything like a girl in the books. In the books, she would be kept naked or scantily clad, she would be slept in a kennel, she would travel in a cage or in a coffle and so on and so forth. Here she will walk abroad dressed for her work, and will be anything from a lawyer to waitress. Many are teachers or nurses. Most are mothers, and quite rightly will always put their children before the needs or any Master, and along with seeking a man to dominate them they seek a father figure for their children.

Incidentally Gorean men do not breed with their slaves. Male and female slaves are sometimes used in breeding, but do not raise the offspring who are born slaves. Free Goreans in the books never breed with slaves. Girls in the books give up for ever the hope of motherhood once they become enslaved.
