Gorean Names
Most of the Masters will have Internet nicks that are manly or strong.
Quite often the Masters will have names of earth animals. Wolf, Lion, Bear, etc. although these animals are absent on Gor.
If you ever dare ask for a beer when you are being served cyber food, you will be warned that this is Gor, if it does not exist on Gor, don’t ask for it, but this does not stretch to their imaginations with regard to their names.
There is one “Free Woman” in particular, (whose husband has one of the silliest of nicks), who always refers to others as “The Girl with the ridiculous nick”, but the nature of this game means most nicks are fairly ridiculous. The girls never have some of the less flattering Gorean names like Butter Pan, or Sandal Thong, Radish or Turnip that are common on Gor, but there are lots of dina, talender, amber, etc. The girls have names that are whimsical and feminine. Once a girl has a Master he will rename her. Because of this tradition it is hard to keep track of girls, as often they change their Masters as often as they change their knickers.
This is of course at loggerheads with the failure stigma. But, although it is a serious matter if even only a few are hurt, and those that are hurt tend to be the sweetest most submissive of them, it has to be said that most of the girls, although they would have you believe that they live this Lifestyle in their hearts and souls, in reality switch their Masters more often than they wash. It is interesting to note that slaves can have extremely unflattering names on Gor. “Wart” is one of them, and the common name of excrement which roughly translated would be “Shit” is another. Strange that these common slave names are absent on online Gor. A girl bearing such a name would soon be banned from any forum. No doubt these common Gorean names are another part of the “philosophy” that is declared “ungorean” by the leaders.
