The Gorean free woman is a mystery to most. Norman let us know that for every slave there were 40-50 free women on Gor, yet he chose to only show us those who were somewhat undeserving of their freedom. With a ratio like that, we must assume that these were the exceptions to the rule. Let's face it, if all free women were the haughty, arrogant, vicious, jealous, spiteful creatures Norman took such delight in giving their "come-uppance," that ratio would be reversed. Gorean men being what they are, would tolerate no less.

Norman wrote volumes detailing the behavior of Gorean men and slaves, yet very little about the Gorean free woman. The mothers, the sisters, the companions of Gorean men. What we know of free women we find in small snippets or asides.

What you will find in these chapters are my impressions, thoughts and feelings as a Gorean free woman. I will share with you my view of what it is to be a free woman of Gor.  What I know I have learned from the books, and from Gorean men. It is my hope that you will find these pages helpful as you travel your own path.
