| Chapter 31 Quinn was sitting at home with James and MacKenzie watching James flip through the TV at rapid speed. How in the world was he going to find something to watch if he changed it so fast? Just as she was about to say something she thought she saw a few familiar faces, "Hey, wait, turn back." He looked over at her, "What?" She pointed at the television, "Turn back." He went back and after a couple of channels she called out, "Right there." She laughed as he groaned, "You and the damn Backstreet Boys. This is crazy." She shook her head, "I know you think I should be listening to Nelly, Ja Rule and Puff Daddy." He looked at her and she smiled, she knew that wasn't his style of hip hop, "No, them muthfuckas give hip hop a bad name. That's not what it's about. I'm talking about Common, Mos Def, KRS One, DMX. They are real, straight up." She knew just how to get him, "I like Trick Daddy and The Big Tymers." She started to sing, "Got everything in my momma name..."He rolled his eyes, "Shut up." She laughed as she turned her attention back to the TV, "Ain't that the kid that was here before?" She nodded as Nick appeared on the TV. How was she going to tell James about Nick? She should have done it the night he and Larry showed up at her door but she just didn't want to. How would he respond now, knowing that she kept it from him for so long? They were getting married, eventually he would find out. That is a big secret to keep from someone you are about to share the rest of your life with, she thought. The rest of her life, she looked over at him. Was he who she wanted to spend the rest of her life with? She turned her attention back to the TV, "So Nick and Howie you are the only two single Backstreet Boys. How is that working for you guys?" Quinn watched as the female correspondent placed her arm around Nick. Bet you'd like to take care of that wouldn't you, Quinn thought. Nick laughed and she couldn't help but smile herself as she watched him, "Oh it's great. I'm just trying to hold out. Howie needs to hurry up and get married. Being the only single Backstreet Boy..what could be better than that?" The reporter smiled, "Now, you don't get lonely?" He shook his head, "Nope. Come on. I'm young, life is fun. I get to go where I want, when I want, and do whatever I want. No girlfriend to call, no responsibilities to worry about. Who wouldn't want that?" She laughed, "Ok, so I think Howie will definitely be getting hitched before you." Nick smiled and wrapped his arm around her, "Definitely, no wife for me." She didn't know why but it hurt her to hear him talking so joyously about no responsibilities. Yeah, I will always be there for Mac and you too if you need me to be. He had just said that to her and now he was out there flaunting his responsibility-free lifestyle. James stood up and walked towards the kitchen, "I don't see what you see in those guys." Quinn shook her head and whispered, "Neither do I." They were in bed that night and she leaned over and kissed James, "I love you." He nodded as he watched TV, "I love you too." She ran her hand up and down his chest, "How much?" He frowned as he looked over but once he saw that look in her eyes he knew what she wanted. He turned off the TV and rolled on top of her. She smiled as she placed her hands on his arms as he slipped his tongue into her mouth. Before she could completely get wrapped up in the feeling of being close to him then suddenly he pulled away and grabbed a condom. She removed her own clothes and waited for him as he prepared for her. Her mind wandered and she wanted to be positive but she was sure it just wasn't going to be breath-taking and amazing. Before she could do anything he was inside her, no foreplay and definitely no oral sex. She looked over at the wall as he placed his head on her shoulder and breathed deeply. She couldn't get into it, being with him, the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with. She moaned, not from any desire to but because she wanted it to be over already. She knew once she was louder he would continue to do what he was doing only at a quicker pace because he would think she liked it and her torture would be over. Of course, that was exactly what happened and soon he was groaning on top of her. He rolled over and walked to the bathroom, throwing the condom away. When he returned, there wasn't a warm washcloth in his hand like there was when she slept with Nick. She shook her head when he put his shorts back on, climbed into bed and turned on the television. She got out of bed and he asked, "Where are you going?" She smiled as she turned to him, "Take a bubblebath." He nodded as he went back to watching ESPN. She sighed as she closed the door, she liked sports just as much as the next person but not right after sex. She turned on the water and poured more than enough bubbles in. As the water ran she lit a few candles, turned on her little stereo and turned off the light. She kicked her clothes off and muttered, "Next time I'm thinking about Nick while we have sex." as she sat on the edge of the bathtub and waited for the tub to fill. She shook her head, what good would it do to think of him, it would just remind her that she was nothing to Nick but someone to have sex with. The tears formed in her eyes, if it weren't for bad luck with men she wouldn't have any at all. With Nick, it was sex and no emotions, with James it was love but the sex was no good and with John, she had it all but she ruined it to be with Nick. Chapter 32 Reunited Stories |
