| Chapter 67 He led me over to his dressing room and closed the door behind us, "Are you ok?" I flopped down on the couch, "Yeah. Why?" He shook his head and shrugged, "You just seem a little out of it." I don't know what that's supposed to mean. "What do you mean a little out of it?" He shook his head again and sat down, "I don't know." He slapped me on the thigh and smiled at me. I simply looked at him and once I saw him squint at me I began to frown, "What are you staring at?" He seems like he is inspecting me or something. "Are you ok? Did you get enough sleep?" He doesn't see sleep deprivation, "I'm a little tired I guess but I'm fine." He nodded and there was silence. "Do you like Sarah?" I wait for a sign as to how he feels about her, "Yes, she's nice." He's going to make me go on a fishing trip trying to get information. They are not going to have something meaningful like Steven and I but they could still have some fun. "She's great you should get to know her. She's even great in bed." His face showed no emotion as he looked away from me, "I'm sure you know." I really don't know what Nick thinks of homosexuality and if it will cause him to dislike me. What's worse is when your friends talk negatively about your lifestyle because they don't know they're talking about you. "Do you have a problem with me liking girls? I know you are squeaky clean but I don't need you judging me. I don't think the fact that I like girls means anything is wrong with me." I needed to defend myself against his high moral beliefs and the ideas he had about me that have probably been floating around in his head for a long time, "For some of us it's not simple and status quo." I had been going on and on and he had yet to speak one word, "Well? Are you going to say something?" He had the most nonchalant expression, "Are you finished?" I was prepared to say something; anything in response of whatever he might have said but I wasn't expecting that. "I...I...yes." There was a knock on the door and some guy poked his head inside, "Oh excuse me I didn't know you had a guest. Nick I need you for a minute." He walked out the door. I lay my head on the back of the couch and closed my eyes. I felt as if I were in some type of free fall and my head kept spinning. I know I didn't snort that much. It can't be the coke, I've done more than that before. Just as I was about to lay down Nick entered the room again and I tried to pretend as if everything was ok. He sat down beside me, "Are you ok?" I frowned at him, "Why do you keep asking me that?" He shook his head, "You look like you're...I don't know. You look a little off." He already can't handle my bisexuality; I know he can't handle my drug use, "I'm fine." I need to get his mind off my health, "Look at my necklace. Like it?" His fingers lightly glazed my skin as he held it in his hand, "Yeah, it's pretty. When did you get this?" I smiled proudly, "Steven." He shifted so his whole body was facing me, "After he sent you a watch with another woman's name on it he buys you a necklace and you forgive him?" I shook my head, instantly wishing I didn't. My mind and my heart were both racing. "The jeweler made a mistake and sent someone else's present to me." I knew he was about to say something but instead he exhaled loudly. "What? Say it." He frowned slightly, "Say what?" I hate when people play dumb, "Whatever it is you want to say." He just sat there and looked at me. Giving me some look as if I were pathetic and he felt sorry for me. "I really don't need your choir boy bullshit Nick." He stood up quickly and shook his head, "I don't know what your problem is." I stood up quickly, or at least I thought I did and before I knew it Nick was leaning over me as I lay back on the couch, "Are you alright?" I held my head, "Yes, I just tried to get up too fast." He licked his lips as he looked down at me and so quickly he went from aggressive man to worried little kid, "I'll get you some water. I'll be right back." Once I could stand I cautiously walked over to a backpack and unzipped it. I pulled out a few things, one of which was a diamond bracelet. Who in the hell throws a diamond bracelet in a backpack? I shook my head as I stared at it. It was beautiful; it didn't look like anything Nick would wear. In fact, I've never seen him with any jewelry on even when he was dressed nicely. "Who are you?" I turned around to see a plain girl staring at me, "Keep it down, I have a headache." She walked into the room, "You are not supposed to be here, you need to leave. " She began to talk into a walkie-talkie as she neared me, "Send security. There's a fan in Nick's dressing room." I frowned, "I'm here with Nick." She nodded, "Sure you are." She grabbed my arm, "Let go of me." We were screaming and if it weren't for my weakened state I would have slugged her. "What the hell is going on?" I looked over and see Kevin and a big neck less goon. "I caught this fan going through Nick's stuff. She even has his bracelet." I growled at her, "I'm not a fucking fan you idiot." Kevin sighed and stood between us, "She's a friend of Nick's." He turned to me, "Who should be wearing a backstage pass." I frowned at him, "Whatever." He rolled his eyes, "Dawn, Fred you guys can go." They left and he turned to me just as Nick returned. "If you ever talk to anyone on this staff like that again-." Nick frowned, "What's going on?" "I was looking for an aspirin and this psycho girl came out of no where and attacked me." Kevin made it clear with his heavy sigh and rolling eyes that he didn't buy my side of the story, "She needs to have an access pass at all times." Nick walked over to me, "I got this." Kevin looked at me, "Don't ever do-" Nick placed his hand on Kevin's shoulder, "I said Id handle it." Once we were alone before he could say anything started, "She was-" He held his hand up, "She was doing her job. Come on, you better get to your seat." I shook my head, "I'm not staying." He sighed, "Don't be mad." I was mad but that's not why I wasn't staying. I never had any staying for a bubblegum show. I handed him his bracelet and walked past Kevin wanting to tell him off but I couldn't. I couldn't do much of anything; I feel awful. Chapter 68 Stranger Than Fiction Stories Feedback |
