WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT THAI MASSAGE?

An ingenious combination of passive yoga, massage and acupressure; labled by many as 'the best massage in the world' Thai Massage is balancing and enlivening to all. Originating in India, the Thai Medical Massage system of bodywork has been practiced for over 2500 years.
The goal of Thai Massage is Self-realization i.e. the four boundless states of mind:
Love (origen of all healing)
Compassion (practical expression of love)
Joy (arises as compassion is evident)
Equanimity of Mind.
Thai Massage emphasizes that the spiritual development of the practitioner is as important as the therapy itself. Thai Massage treats the whole person: With in depth knowledge of the five sheaths covering the spiritual soul of each individual and their interrelatedness, Thai bodywork treats much more then just the physical body. Evaluation and Therapy are simultaneous: The slow movement, various positions and all good intention allow evaluation and treatment appropriate for the individual at every step. Thai Massage facilitates health maintenance: Regular sessions support the immunity to eliminate toxins and aid in reducing stress and fatigue.Thai Massage is an energetically based system: Ayurveda, the foundation of Thai Massage, being the most advanced and ancient medicine concerning the true nature of the body is used to treat the many different layers of the body-mind complex.

A Thai Massage session involves: Passive yoga positions, gentle rocking, rhythmic compression and mindfulness, with the client lying on a soft cotton mat wearing loose comfortable clothing.
