| The truth is the truth, reenacting is expensive. Anyone that tells you differently is filling you with that stuff bulls leave behind. It is too expensive to do it wrong and have to try and resale your gear. It is best to do it right the first time around. The most expensive items are the Enfield or Springfield, tent, uniform and accoutrements. Everything you need can be found at the sutlers, tented merchants, on Sutler's Row. However, remember these people are merchants and they make their living selling to reenactors. We have provided you with our preferred sutlers list. These are people we have used in the past and have confidence in their honesty and integrity. Just to be on the safe side, we ask that you contact us before making any purchases. Remember to start with the basics and build your impression. By following this advise, you will hold your cost down to the minimum. After the initial cost, you will need to purchase only an occassional can of powder and musket caps. |
