06/08/05 - So the Toad's show on Saturday was pretty awesome. We didn't have as great a turnout as we were hoping but there was a decent size crowd and they seemed pretty into it, so that was cool. Not to mention we all felt that we played really well. Furthermore everyone there got to hear our brand new song, "Sparkle Motion," which isn't even 2 weeks old yet, and witnessed the unveiling of the new GFN t-shirts. Yup, we finally have t-shirts, thanks to one awesome dude named Phil from the The Product Art Group. Hopefully we'll have some stickers soon as well and maybe some other merch as well. Next up is the Space on Thursday, June, 23. You know you have nothing better to do, so we'll see you there.

05/10/05 - We're playing Toad's Place again!! Woo!! Saturday, June 4, 2005. All the details coming soon. Much thanks to the guys in Base 2 for letting us play.

05/04/05 - So it's been awhile, but there hasn't been much going on with us. We have a show this Friday at the Acoustic Cafe you should all check out, and we have a show coming up in June at the Space. "Spirit Finger" is done, so be sure you give that a listen on My Space. Other than that we're just gearing up for summer. We plan on playing shows all over New England (hopefully) as well as in CT, and we're gonna be promoting ourselves like whoa. If you're interested in helping us promote ourselves send us an e-mail and let us know. We'll you hook you up with free shows and whatever else we can if you do.

04/10/05 - The final version of "Spirit Finger" is up on My Space so go give it a listen. It's definitely better than the rough mix, and we are all really happy with the way it turned out. If all goes as planned it will be featured on the Blood Loss Alliance's "Warped Tour '05: Sounds of Summer" compilation due out June 14. Also, there's some cool pics from our show last week at the Space up, so go check those out. See us in our element. Also, show next Saturday, April 16 at the Corner Pocket. It's a bar, so please come if your over 21 so there's some people there...or if you have a fake ID...or if you can get into bars cause you look 21. We probably sound better if you're drunk, so that's a win-win situation if we ever saw one.

03/27/05 - New song!! We've posted a rough mix of our song "Spirit Finger," which we recorded this past week, on our My Space page, so go give it a listen, and then let us know what you think. We're really happy with the way it came out. Also, don't forget about the shows this week. Toad's Place on Thursday, the Space on Friday. We'll see you there.

03/16/05 - TOAD'S PLACE! Yes, we're playing there again, in two weeks! We just got asked to play there again, and of course we had to say yes. So Thursday, March 31, 2005 if you're not doing anything you should come check it out. And then on Friday, April 1, 2005, if you're not doing anything, you should come check us out again at The Space (you all should have been doing that anyways). Then 2 weeks later we're playing at the Corner Pocket on the Post Road in Milford, CT. The date of that would be Saturday April 16, 2005 and that shindig starts at 7 PM. The Corner Pocket is a bar, so unless your over 21, look like your over 21, or have a fake ID you probably won't be able to get in to that one. We are gonna be playing the Acoustic Cafe sometime in May, and we have a bunch of other shows in the works for the summer, and we're probably finally going to be heading out of CT this summer to play as well. So you'll have lots of chances to see us. So if you don't you have no excuse when we yell at you.

02/28/05 - We lost the Battle of the Bands Finals, but it's all good 'cause it was a great show and every band was awesome. Plus, there was crazy people there. Plus, we'll be back at the Space on April 1 doing what we do. Congrats to More Equal Than Others and Album, who were crowned the winners Saturday night, and thanks to all our fans who came out and supported us. In March we won't be playing any shows, but we will be taking time to teach Mike (our second guitar player) all our songs, and we will be hitting the studio for 3 days at the end of the month to record "Spirit Finger" because it is (hopefully) going to be appearing on a Warped Tour Compilation this summer being put out by the Blood Loss Alliance. We kid you not about this folks. Finally, we were mentioned in last Friday's (2/25/05) edition of the New Haven Register. Their music critic says we're "not [his] thing," but nevertheless he still thought we were "good and tight." You can check out the article online here. Also, there was an article written about us in the Housitonic Community College newspaper, so as soon as we get a copy of that we'll post the kind words they had to say about us.

02/11/05 - So, we won the first round of the Battle of the Bands at the Space! The Finals are Saturday, February 26, so you all should come check us out. Congrats to Back In The Day who advanced as well, and kudos to Talking To Walls who played awesome and gave us quite a scare.
02/09/05 - Tomorrow is the Battle of the Bands at The Space. We know you will all be there, but there has been some changes to the details. There was supposed to be 5 bands playing, and we were going to be playing last at 10:30. Now it seems 2 of the bands had to drop out of the battle for various reasons, so there will only be 3 bands performing, and we'll still be playing last but it will be at 9:00 now instead of 10:30. Other than that everything else is the same. So we'll see everyone there for our set at 9:00 tomorrow.

01/23/05 - Alright, we're all set up over at myspace.com. Right now you can go listen to the Clockwork versions of "Fluffy" and "Grunge," but as soon as we finish the demos of "Power Animal" and "Spirit Finger" those will be posted there as well. So go check that out, especially if you don't have Clockwork yet. You can now listen to the entire album online! Also, if you're on My Space, come be our friend. Please. You can check us out at http://www.myspace.com/g4n. Also, we've posted some more pics from out Toad's Place show, so be sure to check those out right here. Check out our sexy new guitar player Mike.

01/22/05 - We've posted some pics from our last show at Toad's Place. Check them out in the Gallery. We have more photos that we have to go through, so we may eventually get some more pics from that show up as well. Thanks to Rebecca Disbrow for the pictures. We're still working on the demos of our new songs, but we should have a page up at myspace.com soon where we will eventually post those songs for your listening pleasure.

01/19/05 - We DO NOT have another show at Toad's Place. We were asked to play, but due to bad communication we were not added to the bill, so we are no longer playing at Toad's Place on February 13. Don't cry though, because we will definitely play there again at a later date, and you can still catch us Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Space in Hamden. We'll see everyone there!

01/13/05 - We have another show at Toad's! That's right, Sunday, February 13, 2005 GFN will be gracing the stage of Toad's Place again. Apparently they liked us or something. Yes, we realize it's the same weekend as The Space show, but in order to get you to come to both shows we'll probably give something away, or play 2 entirely different sets or something...we dunno, we'll figure it out. Full details should be up soon.

01/11/05 - We hope everyone who came out to Toad's Place enjoyed the show. We had a blast playing. Their was a decent turnout, but we were hoping to see more of your smiling faces than we did. Anyways, you have a chance to redeem yourself if you missed the Toad's show by coming and supporting us at our next show, which is actually a Battle of the Bands competition, and that will be at The Space in Hamden, CT, on Thursday, February 10, 2005. It's $8 to get in, and the doors open at 7:00 PM, but we won't be hitting the stage until 10:30 PM. We should have some pics from the Toad's show, including some of our new guitarist Mike, up soon. We are also planning on recording demos of our 2 newest songs, "Power Animal" and "Spirit Finger," within the next couple weeks, so once we finish those we'll probably post them for listening pleasure. We're also working on setting up something so you can download, totally free, our first 2 demos, directly from our site, as well as be able to listen to all the songs we've ever recorded, released or not. Kinda like the "streaming audio" we had up on the site a while back. So hopefully that will be up soon as well.

12/18/04 - All the information about the Toads Place show is now up. That bad boy is gonna be on Sunday, January 9, 2005, and you can get in at 7:30 PM. If you're over 21, you get in free. If you're not, you have to pay, but with a pass from us you can get in cheaper. We don't know the exact price, but it's either $8.50 or $10. If you wanna get some passes be sure to contact us so we can get some to you. They gave us about 1000, so we have plenty to go around for everyone. If you want check out what the tickets look like click here. If you're not able to get actual tickets from us you should be able to print that out and use that to get in as well. We'll see everyone there.

12/12/04 - Well the Webster...sucked. We apologize to anyone who came out to see us and to all the other bands for not playing, but it was due to circumstances beyond our control. To anyone who was there to see or who was making an effort to see us we apologize and thank you for your support and we will make it up to you. Moving on, we're playing again next Saturday at the Newtown Teen Center in Newtown, CT. This show is being put on by the guys in Drawn Inward and CSG Productions so if you have nothing to do on Saturday night you should definitely come check that out because it should be an awesome show. Those guys are super professional and are making this an awesome event. Also, our first show of 2005 will be at Toads Place, so we know everyone will want to come out to that show. We should have reduced admission flyers to hand out soon. As always, full deatails on all our upcoming shows can be found in the Shows section of the site.

12/10/04 - GFN is playing Toads Place...again! Sunday, January 9, 2005, GFN will once again be gracing the stage at the legendary Toads Place. We should have full details about this show, which will be awesome, soon. Also don't forget about the Webster Theatre show tomorrow. Hope to see everyone there.

12/07/04 - The Webster show on Saturday is now starting at 4:30 PM, not 3:00 PM as initially stated. We know the tickets say 3:00 PM, but it is definitely now starting at 4:30 PM!

12/05/04 - Full information on the December 18 show at the Newtown Teen Center is up. Everything you need to know is in the Shows section. Also, don't forget about the Webster Theatre show next Saturday, December 11. We still have lots of tickets for sale that we need to sell, so if you're planning on coming then let us know so we can hook you up with tickets.

12/01/04 - Just a heads up that the Webster Theatre show is next Saturday, December 11. This is NOT the Webster Undergroud, but in fact the big theatre. We are playing on the main stage, so if you can go you definitely do not want to miss this show. It should be awesome and there will probably be a lot of people there. You know what they say, the more the merrier. Tickets are only $10, and there are 10 bands playing. Doors open at 3 PM. If you need tickets to this shindig please, please, please contact us so we can get some to you before the show. You can talk to us online (Brian - good4nothing11, Adam - UpEnd2012, Dan - tdanza414), e-mail us, or shout at us in public. If you say GFN we'll listen. We like to feel cool. Hopefully we'll see everyone there.

11/12/04 - Directions on how to get to Miracles are up. We also have another show on December 11 at the Webster Theatre in Hartford. Full details on that show should be up soon.

11/01/04 - Well, October 2004 had more people look at this little site for our band than ever before, so thanks to everyone who likes our music and is taking the time to check us out and support local music. I guess this means more people are actually starting to like us. Also, we are not playing at the Acoustic Cafe on the 27. However, we are almost definitely going to be playing at this club called "Miracles" in Beacon Falls, CT, on Friday, November 26, 2004 (the day right after Thanksgiving). We should have full details on that soon. Also it is pretty definite that we will be playing at the Newtown Teen Center on Saturday, December 18, 2004. Full details about that show should be coming soon as well. Also, we may have be posting some more MP3's off our older demos directly from this site soon, so keep an eye open for those.

10/23/04 - The show last night at the Space was awesome. Definitely probably one of our best shows of the year, if not ever. That place just gets better and better to play at everytime we're there. Thanks to all the fans who came out and supported us. We had a really good turnout. Next up is the Acoustic Cafe on Saturday, November 27. We should have some more details about this one soon. We may also be playing the Newtown Teen Center in December sometime, so if we do more details will follow about that. Also, slowly but surely (we swear) we are working on getting stuff like stickers and t-shirts made up. Maybe someday we will even make this crappy site of ours cool. If we can get any pics of the show last night we'll post those, and we're also working on trying to record demos of our new songs "Spirit Finger" and "Power Animal," so if we ever get around to actually finishing those we'll probably put those up for your listening pleasure.

09/25/04 - I bet no one knew, but we've had a little site over at www.garageband.com for a while now, and we've finally posted some links in the music section to our songs over there. This is what used to be mp3.com and it's pretty much the same thing as what we had up there until they went under. So you can check that out and listen to, as well as download, for free, the SAF version of "Fluffy" and "Cleansed" and "Milestone" off our first demo from way back in the day. So head on over to www.garageband.com to listen to some more GFN. And don't foget you can listen to songs off our latest release, Clockwork, at www.purevolume.com.

09/19/04 - Well we didn't win the Battle of the Bands, but it's OK 'cause we had a good time playing and it was cool that we got to play since WPLR picked the bands who would be competing. So it was cool that we were even picked to play in the first place. Our next show is at the Space on Friday, October 22. Last time we played the Space we had an awesome show and an awesome turnout so hopefully we'll see everyone back there again.

09/17/04 - The Battle of the Bands is now on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2004! Everything else is the same. They decided to move it back a day due to the weather forcast. Hopefully everyone will be able to make it on Sunday.

09/15/04 - We found out that Bartlem Park is right across the street from Cheshire High School, and the HS is right next to the teen center where we have played a couple times before. All this is on Route 10 in Cheshire. Everyone should be able to get there now, and if you want to go but are still clueless where all this is, e-mail us or talk to us somehow and we'll help you out. Just to refresh.

Battle of the Bands sponsored by WPLR 99.1 FM
Saturday, September 18, 2004
Bartlem Park, Cheshire, CT, Route 10 right across from the High School
Starts at 11:00 AM, GFN to play at 11:45 AM
Part of the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce's Fall Festival & Marketplace

09/10/04 - Some more info on the Battle. We've learned it's being held at a place called Bartlem Park in Cheshire. We don't have exact directions yet, but we know the park is on Route 10. Everything starts at 11:00 AM, and GFN is scheduled to perform at 11:45 AM. The Battle is part of the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce's Fall Festival & Marketplace.

09/09/04 - GFN is in the Battle of the Bands! That's right, the Battle of the Bands being sponsored by WPLR, that is next Saturday, September 18 and takes place somewhere in Cheshire! That's all we know right now but we'll let you know everything you need to know as soon as we know!

08/26/04 - Has anyone else noticed that August sucks? No offense to anyone who may like August, or has a birthday in August or anything, but serioulsy I think August is the worst month out of the year. That said, we haven't done a damn thing all month, with the exception of playing one show at The Maxx which we wouldn't a exactly call a smashing success. Anyways, it looks like we're going to be playing at the Space again, tentatively on October 22. We are still trying to record a decent sounding demo of our new song "Spirit Finger," and we do have more pics we could probably post on the site. Will we ever get around to doing that? Who knows...maybe by Christmas 2005. We're still hoping to get in the Battle of the Bands as well, and if we do that should hopefully be a really awesome show. We should know soon whether we're in or not.

07/28/04 - We've posted some new pics for your viewing pleasure. If you want to see 3 new pics of us looking super sexy as a group, check those out in the Gallery, and if you want to see 12 new pics of us looking sexy and rocking out live at our CD Release show from a few weeks ago, hit the link in the Gallery or click here. We'll post some more super sexy group shots of us as soon as we can.

07/27/04 - We are still working on getting pics from the show up on the site, we swear. We should have at least a few up on the site within the next couple of days. Also, we recently took about 200 new photos of us as a group, so we're gonna work on getting some of those up on the site as well. Our next show is Friday, August 13, 2004, at The Maxx in New Milford, CT. It starts at 7 PM, and it's $7 to get in. We should be selling tickets for this relatively soon, so let us know if you want one (or some). Also playing with us that night are Banana Fish Zero, who are really awesome guys and great musicians. We've played with them before, so I'm sure some of you have seen them. We should still have some copies of Clockwork available at the show, but they have been selling pretty good so make sure you grab a copy while we still have some left. When they sell out, we will have more pressed, but why wait until then? The going rate on the street is $5, so if you want one just give any member of GFN a shout in public, or e-mail us and we'll send one out to you. We also have a new song called "Spirit Finger" and we are working on recording a demo of it now so once that is finished we will probably post it on our Purevolume site for your listening pleasure. Finally, we have sent in an application to compete in a Battle of the Bands hosted by WPLR, 99.1 FM in September. Sending in an application does not guarantee us a spot in the Battle, but we're hoping we get in. We'll let you know if we do.

07/10/04 - The show last night was awesome...if you weren't there, you missed out. Thanks to everyone who came out. We sold half the CD's, and if you didn't go and you want one e-mail us and we'll work something out. We'll work on getting some order forms up soon. Also, we are working with The Product Art Group on getting some stickers and t-shirts made up soon, and they may even help us re-design our crappy site so it looks cooler. We also have a ton of pics from last night as well and we should be putting those up soon as well.

07/08/04 - The big show is tomorrow night, and we are super psyched. We hope everyone else is too. If you haven't done so already, check out the 2 new tunes on the disc over at www.purevolume.com/GFN. Also, the New Haven Advocate got hold of an advanced copy of Clockwork, and here's what they had to say.

GFN - Clockwork, 5-track CD (available through www.GFNmusic.net).
If you dig emo/neo punk rock, but whiny screechy voices like the nasal wuss from New Found Glory make your nose bleed, dig on GFN. 18-year-old guitarist/singer Adam Martin has one of the more pleasant and melodic voices on the scene, calling to mind Eve 6 or EMF. Dan Verner kicks out distortion-heavy bass and Brian Wells makes fine use of his sticks. It represents influences from Blue Oyster Cult to Sublime, odd and lovely. Too bad the cover isn't orange. The new-rock three-piece hails from Oxford, but you'll be able to lay eyes and ears on the fellas at the CD release party July 9 at The Space, with MurderVan, Planeside, Top of the Fair, The Tryst and Broken Beginnings. --D.F.

Pretty awesome...at least we think so. If you think we're making that up, click here and see for your self that we are not. We'll see you all tomorrow.

06/28/04 - Yeah. So. You can go listen to new GFN over at www.purevolume.com/GFN, so if you haven't already checked out the new tunes, go now...or if you have, go listen again. You know you want to. The CD's are being duplicated as you read this, we're practicing for July 9th, and your heading over to www.purevolume.com/GFN to check out the new tunes.

06/24/04 - Recording a CD sucks. We should have been done with this like 5 months ago. That said, we have decided to cut the last track, Memorium, from the CD. It was just sounding really bad, and the rest of it was just sounding so good we just decided it would be better if we didn't include Memorium on the final copy of the disc. Now that said, we are still planning on having some audio off this bitch for you guys to check out either tomorrow or Saturday, and we are still having our CD Release show at the Space on July 9th. The cover of the CD should be up in the music section sometime soon as well. In conclusion however, this one is definitely worth the wait, the show is gonna kick major ass, and everyone will have a good time. If it doesn't and we don't have the CD's, you can all punch us in the stomach or something. We all probably need a good beating anyways. Wow. That sounds so wrong...its late and I'm starting to ramble and say things I will probably regret, so with that...audio from the new CD this weekend along with the cover artwork...CD Release Show Friday July 9th at the Space in Hamden, CD's will be only $2. Yes...that is all for now.

05/28/04 - The Toad's Place show was awesome and if you didn't go you missed out on a really great GFN performance. Hopefully we'll get to play there again, but our turnout wasn't quite as great as we were hoping for so we don't know. Next up is the Webster Underground on Sunday June 13.

05/20/04 - Huge show news. GFN is playing Toad's Place in New Haven next Wednesday, May 26, 2004. We're opening up for the band Spitalfield, who are on Victory Records and are pretty sorta kinda not really big. But anyways, this show should be huge and we're gonna sound awesome at Toad's, so you do not want to miss this show. We know less than a week's notice isn't cool, but it's gonna be awesome. We're super psyched about it. We also have a couple other shows coming up at The Webster Underground and The Space that you can learn more about in the shows section.
