Eventually I escaped the rigorous gambit that sometimes makes up superherodom. It feels good, for however long the fleeting moments last, to make that escape. To have a little time when all the stresses and strains of being a public icon are pushed aside and you can enjoy the simple things in life--like the company of a good woman.
That is what all of us superhero types look for.
Spider Man has got his Mary Jane, Superman finds strength is Louis Lane, and Captain Gonzo finds peace with Carrie D.
So until the next battle for good and evil arises, the longevity of humankind is threatened, or there's just a hell of a lot of beer that needs to be drank--Good day.
