E.V.O. Information

Despite the intermittent lightheartedness of this page, I do have a somewhat serious and technical side, which fortunately for you, takes the form of a penchant (read: addiction) to compile large amounts of data into neat groups and tables. Consequently, here follows a lot of useless, but organized information.

Basic Controls

Control Pad (Left, Right, Up, Down): Movement; when pressed twice in the same direction, you run in that direction.
SELECT button:
On World Map: Save Game / Erase Saved Game / Review Evolution Record / Erase Evolution Record:
-Save Game: Saves your game on one of 3 slots.
-Erase saved game: Erases a saved game. You know, just in case your evolving hero begins to "know too much"...
-Review Evolution Record: Look at the (up to) 50 Evolution Records made in the progress of the game.
-Erase Evolution Record: Trash one of the crappy...er, unique evolutions you've happed to record.

   Inside a Stage:Evolution / Capability / Record of Evolution:
-Evolution: Leads to the wonderful evolution menu where you buy your many body parts.
-Capability: Stats of your current form. (i.e.: Bite points, Agility points, etc.)
-Record of Evolution: This function allows you to record your current form on a saved file. This not only allows you to admire your handiwork later on, but also helps out when you are in possession of a Green Crystal, which lets you to automatically evolve into a recorded form for a short period of time. Kewl beans!
START button: Paws. Ha, ha, ha, ha!!!...paws...pause...oh...oh, dear...man, I crack myself up...
Y button: Attack, (i.e.: Biting, hitting, slapfighting, etc.); also can be used to eat food; also the "no" button on a menu.
X button: Eat food (does no damage)
A button: Used when running for a ramming attack.
B button: The "yes" button on a menu. Press to scroll ahead on text and/or enter a stage.
L/R buttons:...Nothin'!!

Evolution Data

Here is everything you need to know about everything that you can grow...heh heh...*ahem*. Anyway, the stats are set-up with a base of what you start with. For example, in Chapter 1, you start with Original Jaws (as opposed to Extra Crispy Jaws) and when you get the Kuraselache's Jaws, it adds +2 Bite on top of the Bite power you had with the Original Jaws. Get it? No? Tough noogies. Read on anyway.

*Too limp to do any real damage. It's used to attract certain gullible fish into your waiting jaws. Yum.
**Unlike the other Horn, this one actually becomes part of your face, so that it's unbreakable. Unfortunately, it sticks you with a crappy, unevolvable Jaw with only 3 points of Bite, which seriously bites. Stick with the Angler's Horn.

Enemies Table

Here's a large list of every baddie to can imagine running into during the game. Now my *actual* enemy list...well, that's a whole different website... As for all statistics on this page, they're based on the basic evolutions of the stage. As you grow evolution-wise, you gain less HP per Meat and, obviously, take less damage from enemies.

Chapter IHPMeat (EP/HP)Info
Jellyfish210/2Stings for -2; tastes good with peanut butter.
Eel315/2Bitchslaps you for -2
Ameoba320/2First bite merely splits it in twain; then each piece has 3 HP; rams for -2
Terodus325/1W/o the Angler's Horn, these wussies run at the sight of you, so there's no applicable damage.
