| Once upon a Galaxy, a very long time ago I always knew my angels were watching me here below They knew my life was empty, and a new life had begun My life was rather empty, so they sent to me a son I named him Andrew Thomas, for I knew he'd be stong He was a little devil at times, and admitted to his wrong It's been a long long time, since I've seen his handsome face Guess my angels told him, Boy, go give her an embrace So Friday afternoon, he left New Jersey in his car Thank God there was moonlight, and perhaps his wandering star It guided him safely to his Mama's house you see He arrived at 2:45 AM, scaring the life outta me Now I had heard a door, for I wasn't able to sleep Bear heard it too, keeping guard of his keep Cowboy awoke, packing his gun in his hand Lord, have mercy on me Father, I just don't understand |

| I asked nervous, Who's there? and he said your Son Andrew Ma I tried pulling Bear away and told Cowboy, leave your gun Pa When I saw his face, tears came to my old and weary eyes I didn't care who saw us, but Andrew was a welcoming surprise I asked him what brought him down here in the early morning light He said you sounded a little down, and then thought I might Add a little happiness, it would do us both some good I wanted to stop the clock right then if only I could We shared so many menories, some new or very old The years we'd always remember, cherishing them as if they were gold Thank God the house was clean, and the guest room was waiting there As we put his belonging on the old Boston Rocker chair The hours sped by, and I couldn't hold back the time It was then I knew my son was the Archer of mine You always could read between the lines; always there for me No matter whether I could swim, or sink in a raging sea |
