| Why is this lady always hiding her face Mama said is wasn't to be bright Has she brought shame and disgrace Wishing them love and God bless tonight Di she have hopes or was there sorrow Was her heart broken by a sad love affair Didn't she see the sunshine of tomorrow Knowing that God would always be there Surely someone saw this lady of disguise Knowing that love was bursting inside Just by looking deep into her eyes Letting her be herself and filled with pride Then one day someone saw there could be Seeing a child turn into a swan child A model for everyone to admire and see Deep inside she was meek and mild Is she a devil or an Angel in disguise Everyone to admire, but will ever know Just look into her soul, her wandering eyes Watch her as they simmer and glow Perhaps by chance you shall meet This lady who hides her face Give her warmth with a special greet In her heart you'll see your place When faced with trouble just leave her alone Because that's just her way Don't ask silly questions on the phone She'll say she's ok, and have a great day |
