"Drucilla, what are you doing here?"
"Looking for you little tree, why can I feel you, hmmm?"
"Well, umm, you see"
"You and Daddy are mated arent you?"
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"Well why else would you be stuck in my head?"
"I take it that you arent going to try and kill me?"
"No mummy of course not, daddy would be very angry, plus I dont think I could anyway"
"Dru, is someting wrong you seem less, well, dont bite me, but crazy"
"Yeah, I think that was you little tree, when you gave your soul to daddy I think I got a little bit too, Its strange, I can form coherent thoughts for the first time in over a century, thankyou"
"Wow, your thanking me, Im surprised Im not wetting my pants right about now, so, do you want to see Angel, Spikes here too"
"Oh, my Spikey, he`s here, really? Ive missed him so much, I should never have left him for that yucky chaos demon, do you think he`ll talk to me?"
"I dont know Dru, probably, we`ll see, come on lets get out of here, I really dont want to have to do any stakeing tonight"
"Okay mummy, I`ll see you home shall I"
Dru smiled and Willow giggled, who`d have thought Dru had a sane thought in her head, let alone be together enough to talk to properly, she was still a little freaky, but what did she expect!
They walked back to Angel Investigations in companiable silence, neither knew what to expect, but both were safe in the knowlege that they need not fear each other. The boys on the other hand, were another matter....
Willow stepped into the building and started to walk towards the stairs to Angels flat, Dru followed her in and was just about to say something when she heard a cry and Spike flew out of Angels office and wrapped his hand around Dru`s throat, he snarled and went into his game face, Willow was by his side in an instant trying to pry his fingers from Drucillas throat.
"Spike STOP!"
To Angel who was stood in the doorway, this had a very strange and amuseing air of de-ja-vu about it. He decided to see what happened, if Dru tried anything, Spike would be there, so he just watched as the scene unfolded.
"Red are you crazy?"
"No Spike Im not, now LET HER GO, this minute, or I`ll turn you into a toad"
He uncurled his fingers from Dru`s throat and stepped back,
"What is she doing here?"
"What love, not happy to see me?"
"No, Im bloody well....Hey, you actually formed a sentence with no stars in it, whats going on?"
"Tree happened, she gave dad her soul, and I got a bit too, it knocked me on my arse and knocked some sanity back into me"
Spike looked into her eyes and there was a spark of comprehension that wasnt there before, he didnt think he`d ever seen her like this. He was happy for her, and for the first time a long few months he had a little hope too, his princess was back, and she was all there, maybe, just maybe

He stepped a little further away, and turned to face his sire who had come fully into the reception area, he encircled Willow in his arms and looked at Dru, it was true, she was sane, well saner than she had been since he`d known her, he could see that Spike was haveing trouble,
"Dru, its good to see you, but you do realise, go out and brutally kill anyone, or try and hurt my family and I will stake you, understand?"
"Yes sire, I understand, I havent fed off of a human since you two were mated anyway, the little bit of soul I got wont let me, Ive been living out of blood banks, Isnt pigs blood absolutely fowl?!"
"Yeah it is, but you get used to it, look your welcome to stay here if you want to, if its alright with you little one, spike?"
"Yeah lover, its fine with me"
"Spose so,"
"Good, right Willow and I are going downstairs to go to bed, you two come down when your ready, kay?"
"Yeah okay sire, night Red"
"Night Angel, Tree"
"Night guys, my rule still applys, no blood on the carpet"
