| GAVROCHE THENARDIER 1821 - 1832 Description: "He was a boisterous, pallid, nimble, wide-awake, rougue-ish urchin, who looked both lively and sickly. He would come and go, sing, play pitch and toss, scrape the gutters, steal a little, but he did it cheerfully, like the cats and the sparrows, laughed when people called him a brat, and got angry when they called him a guttersnipe. He had no shelter, no food, no fire, no love, but he was lighthearted becaued he was free." Bio: Gavroche was born in his father's, Thenardier's, inn in Montfermeil, and was ignored his entire infancy. When he was a very little boy, his family moved to Paris, and he ran away from home. He took up residence in Napolean's elephant in the Place de la Bastille. He took care of his two little brothers when their foster mother was arrested, and then joined Enjolras at the barricade. After delivering a letter from Marius to Cosette, he returned, and, in an attempt to gather ammunition, was shot and killed. Songs: "Look Down" "Little People" "Javetr's Arrival/Little People" "Little People (reprise)" Quotes: "Never kick a dog because he's just a pup!" "We live on crumbs of humble piety: tough on the teeth, but what the hell?" "For better or for worse it is the way I am."
