"Zayra, I need you help me pull in these nets" said Gyer as he struggled to hold the filled nets over the boat.
"Coming" answered Zayra as he ran to help his father pull in the nets, "what a great haul" added Zayra as they pulled in the fish filled nets.
"Yes, we'll gets lots of marks with these fish and look at the size of them," added Gyer as they looked at the fish. "And just in time to, looks like a storm is coming in" said Gyer as he went to pull up the anchor.
"Nau thinks so too" replied Zayra as Nau started to chirp quickly and fly around his father.
"I think that a big storm is coming by the way he's acting," answered Gyer as he lifted the anchor onto the boat and walked to the helm to steer the boat back to shore. "Look you can see the clouds forming behind us," added Gyer as the wind picked up the sails and pushed them to shore.
"Good we made it" said Zayra as the boat stopped against the dock.
"You take some of the fish in and tell Nau to go tell the family that were back" commanded Gyer as he was tying the boat to the dock. Zayra nodded and relayed the message to Nau who went between after hearing it, after that Zayra grabbed the net full of fish and hauled it to their hold. As he neared it his mother opened the door to let him in.
"Thanks, Nau come in?" asked Zayra as he entered the hold.
"Yes, he's playing with your little sister" answered Gya as Zayra pulled the fish in and his father followed him in.
"Zayra put the fish in the water in the cellar so that the don't stink to much" commanded Gyer, Zayra nodded and made his way into the cellar.
"Hey Nau, have you come to help me dump the fish or have you come to eat the fish?" asked Zayra as he dumped the fish into the large bucket of water, once he finished Nau hovered over the water for a second then dived for one of the small fish. "Come on I think dinner's ready" added Zayra as he put the lid on the bucket and raced up the cellar stairs and into the lighted part of the hold, "hurry up Nau I can smell dinner from here" added Zayra as he raced to the kitchen, with Nau right behind him, to get his plate of food.
"Hey dragonrider, where's your dragon" teased Nira smiling behind him.
"You know that I don't have a dragon, just Nau" said Zayra grabbing several slices of meat and set them on his plate and then grabbed a sweetroll and took his place at the table.
"And now the storm starts" says Gyer as he reached the table with his plate.
"You know Zayra today when I was at the gather I heard that at Sidra Weyr they have a clutch on the sands with several spots left" said Gya as she sat down.
"Really, did you speak with any dragonriders about Sidra Weyr?" asked Zayra as his hopes to be searched started to fly.
"As a mater of fact I did ask several riders about it. They said that the green that clutched says that there's something special about her eggs and that's all they told me" replied Gya.
"Do you think that I could be searched for their clutch?" asked Zayra as Nau landed near his plate and started to eat his meat.
"I think that you would..." started Gyer but Nira cut him off.
"Hey, wont I become a dragonrider".
"Not now because your to young but when your as old as your brother you might be searched" said Gya.
"But when I become his age I'll be to old by then" replied Nira as she pushed back her chair and ran off.
"Are you even sure that she wants to be a dragonrider?" asked Zayra as he handed Nau the rest of his meat.
"I don't think so, all she wants to be is everything but she can't" said Gya as she stood up and set her plate on the counter next to the sink.
"Dad do you think that when the storm is over that we could do a little night fishing?" asked Zayra as he grabbed his roll and took a bite out of it.
"When the storm blows over I think that the winds will be to hard so how about we go out at the crack of dawn" replied Gyer smiling.               "Great" said Zayra with a mouthful of roll in his mouth.
"Don't talk with your mouth full. I know that I've taught you better than that" said Gya rinsing the dishes off.
"How did she know that my mouth was full of food?" asked Zayra as he set down the roll that he was eating.
"You know I've been trying to figure that out for all the turns that I've been with your mother" whispered Gyer sneaking behind his wife. Right when he was about to make her jump she turned around and let a pot full of water fly right at him, to make things worse Nau appeared from between and Zayra jumped behind Nau just as the water hit them both.
"Gyer look at what just happened, now I want you to clean up the water that's not on the flit or on your son," said Gya handing him a mop and pail. "Zayra go get changed and dry Nau before he turns red with anger" added Gya just as she turned around to supervise Gyer to make sure that he cleaned the floor.
Zayra made his way to his room and changed cloths then grabbed his softest tunic and wrapped it around Nau who stopped his angry chirping.     "Zayra can I ask you something?" asked Nira as she appeared in the doorway. Zayra nodded and Nira continued, "Well since you have a flit do you think you could ask him if he could find me a clutch so that I could have a flit?" asked Nira turning on her baby canine eyes that nobody could resist saying no to. All Zayra could do was nod his head and ask his flit to find her a clutch so that she may have a flit of her own, when he finished with her question Nau slithered out of the tunic and went between.
"Nira go get some meat and come back as quick as you can for I have a feeling that he wont come back empty clawed" said Zayra as he saw his Nira race out of the room and to the kitchen to get a bowl full of meat.
"Is he back yet?" asked Nira as she walked into the room with a bowl full of meat.
"Not yet, it usually doesn't take him this long to do an errand. Just as Zayra said those words Nau came out of between with a small light blue colored hatchling flit in his hands, "It must of just hatched" said Zayra as he watched Nira try to feed the baby flit.
"It impressed with me" said Nira as the flit began to take more and more food from her till its body was as thick as Nau's head. When the new flit finished eating it flapped its little wings and flew to her shoulder, "mom, dad I got a new flit" said Nira as she raced out the room with the flit.
"Good job Nau, I think that you deserve a rest" said Zayra as he wrapped the flit in the tunic and settled himself in his furs and fell asleep.
