Greetings, fellow clansmen and clansmen to be!
Here's an explanation of the way things work here, and how you can move up in the Hierarchy.
Ok, now how can I put this?  Where do I start?  Well... ok...

Before I say anything else, I want to make it known that ALL promotions must be reported to me, the queen.  This is so that I may keep an accurate documentation of who belongs to the clan and where they currently belong.  You can see this documentation at the members page.  Also, no one is to appoint themselves a rank without my consent, unless specified.  When appointing yourself a rank, you must also tell me that you have done so, for again, the purpose of the records.

All those wishing to move up
MUST apply via e-mail and ask the appropriate representative.  If you ask us (Kyreisla and AphexTwin) about a promotion that we do not take care of, don't worry, we'll simply re-direct you to the right person.
We (and those we have been given power to) reserve the right to deny admittance to the clan, and to deny the promotion of your characters.

Another thing:  Upon admittance to the clan, you may want to make up a name for yourself, so you could have ur own GoL name, otherwise you can just use the one u use in Diablo (i.e. your account name.... but i dunno how safe that is to put up for all to see). The name of the main character you use can also be the name you use here.

Ok... now for the rest...

Beginning members of the Guardians of Light Diablo2 clan all start out as a peasant, regardless of entering level (but in order to join the clan, you must be at least level 30).  After being a peasant for at least two weeks, you may appoint yourself a member of the royal servants or other self-appointable ranks (if you meet the level requirements), or you may contact the king/queen via e-mail to request/apply for another position.  Please note the minimum level requirements and the availability of each rank/position.  Those wanting to apply for knighthood/paladin-hood must first become a squire, regardless of current level.  To become a squire, you may contact one of the lords/ladies or knights/pallys (not the Grand Knights or Grand Paladins because they don't deal with that sort of stuff).  Knights have the power to appoint squires as long as the to-be squire is of level 35 or more.  Lords and Ladies have to power to promote squires to knights as well as appointing squires.
Grand Knights and Grand Paladins are appointed only by his/her majesty and as a general rule are the closest friends of the chieftans. Also taken into consideration for the part of Grand Knights/Pallys is the fact that they must be at least level 60 to earn this honor.  The number one Grand Knight and the number one Grand Paladin will (the ones with the highest level of all "Grandies")  earn the most honorable title of "High Protector" also.  Grandies do not have squires because they are too high up on the hierarchial tree to deal with that.
What can be said for the Druid and the other religious ranks? Hmmm... well, this is quite a seperate branch from the royal hierarchy.  You see, they have their own system, and I will leave it up to these people to devise their own system with their own ranks.  Just be sure to tell me your plans and who joins and who you appoint so that I may put them on the documentations.
Ok, well... as for the Royal Council (aka High Council), all members are appointed by the king and queen and must be lvl 55 or greater.  There can be as many Royal Councilmen as there are people wanting to be a part of the High Council.   That's all I have to say about that.
     Almost done!!!!!!!!
Now, for the Royal Guard, you must be at least level 33 and once you reach this level, and if you wish to be a part of the group, then you may appoint yourself a member, but you must, of course notify the Queen that you have done so.
For the Royal Army, you can appoint yourself either a footman or an archer if you are at least level 31.  Remember to tell me about it if you do.  I assume you have read the part I wrote about the Royal army, so i won't go through explaining the rest of that (other than the other positions in the royal army are not self-appointable).
Ok, the postitions of Royal Gardeners and Royal Servants are both self-appointable.  I assume you read about these too. What the hell is the purpose for being a peasant or a servant or even a gardener you ask?  Well, it is just to  move up in the hierarchy.  You might have noticed that being a peasant means still being outside of the castle, and so out of the hierarchy, so to speak.  Becoming a servant actually puts you inside the hierarchy and literally inside the castle.  The gardener is for, again, moving up a bit and for those of you who like to be one with nature.  Besides, what would a garden be without gardeners to tend to it?

     Hmmmmm, well I don't
think I left anything out, but if I did, please let me know.
