Final Part of Zukin Fan Fiction, Double Comics
Okay, so I failed with the whole "large amount of updates" that I promised you all but I did get the third and final part of Zukin: The Black of Space up so go check that out and I made two little ads down the bottom of this page to promote DBZ Movie 8 and Dragonball which are coming to NZ in October.
Theres been no news recently so I didn't update the
When Bulma Attacks fan comic but I've decided to be generous and give you two parts of it this week instead of the usual one. Check them out at the bottom of this page!
Finally today I'd like to recommend you all go see
Charlies Angels: Full Throttle as I thought it was a lot better than the first one and those girls kick ass! There's also a tonne of movie/TV references (CSI, Terminator 2, Mission Impossible 2)

King Kamehameha Movie, Mai Time Dragonball Z Fan
Before we get into todays news I'll inform of you all of the updates I actually did which sadly isn't as much as I had hoped for but I did manage to add more info to the preview pages for Dragonball and Dragonball GT and I did update the Zukin fan fiction to include part three but it didn't save so I'll have to do it again. On Monday I'll have a (hopefully) much more impressive list of updates.
It has recently been announced that they are making a movie about King Kamehameha which is actually nothing to do with Dragonball but is actually about the Hawaiian tribal leader named King Kamehameha who conqured the seven Hawaiian islands and united them under his rule. Akira Toriyama's wife suggested that he use the name "Kamehameha" when he was thinking of a name for DBZ's trademark energy attack. At the moment Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be playing Kamehameha and the movie will be released sometime in 2005 or 2006. See more info on this movie by clicking
here. It'd be funny if the movie came out at the same time as the live action Dragonball Z one...
Atm y house we sadly don't get the
TV Guide but instead have to seetle with reading the TV Day (the TV Guide inserted inside the Womans Day magazine) which is not as good as the TV Guide but in this weks issue there is profile of Mai Time (presenter?) Patara Berryman who says his favourite TV programme is Dragonball Z! Here why he said DBZ was his fave "..because Goku is the MAN, and if I was a superhero then I would be him" Good choice man! Dragonball Z rocks!!

Beckett DBZ Collector #32 Preview
So yesterday I did a preview for the Best of Dragonball Z #10 which is full of stuff from the monthly Beckett DBZ Collectors such as this one.
This is issume number 32 which is the July issue but we always get the magazine month late so whih actually doesn't matter that much because the stuff in the magazine doesn't really go out of date. This issue contains a Piccolo vs the Hulk feature, all about Super Saiyan 4 and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, pictures for cards 1-85 of the Buu saga CCG, , all about the Machine Mutants and Dark Dragons in DBGT, answers to some ommon questions about Dragonball Z toys, a Piccolo vs The Hulk poster, Pan's diary and lots more including a quiz, price guide, checklist and more. Despite this being a DBZ magazine it's containing more and more every month to do with DBGT so be warned! This issue also contains two bonus Non DBZ sections of which one is on merchandis from the
Hulk movie while the other is a Yu-Gi-Oh! episode guide. Just remember that you can't enter any of the competitions unless you live in the USA! This magazine is found at selected magazine retailers and costs around NZ $16.95.
Over the next couple of days I'll be hopefully doing all the updates which I should of done last week including the final part to the Zukin fan fiction plus the addition of screenshots to the
Dragonball Z: Taiketsu page. Come back tommorow to see if I actually do anything!

The Best of Dragonball Z #10
Sorry for the lack of updates over the past few days but theres been really no news to report until now so I took a break to watch some uncut DBZ as I'd never seen the uncut episodes of Majin Buu vs SSJ3 Goku. Some especially good parts was where Babidi caused some poor guys head to expand and then explode (ouch!), Babidi giving Goku the finger and when Buu punched off Babidi's head.
Before I get into the main focus of todays update I'd like to apologise to you all as I forgot to link the second part of the
When Bulma Attacks comic when I uploaded it on Monday but its now ready for you all to see at the bottom of this page...
So anyway theres two new Beckett DBZ magazines out now but I'm reviewing one today and one tommorow.
The Best of Dragonball Z #10 is Becketts bi-monthly publication where they put all the bests truff from the monthly magazine into a softcover book format. This one has a focus on Dragobnball GT and has a shiney gold cover with Super Saiyan 4 Goku on it. So heres some of what it has in it... Five pages of a basic summary of the Dragonball GT series, pictures of all 123 Babidi saga CCG cards, a look at the characters of DBGT, a review of the last four episodes of DBZ, a SSJ4 Goku poster, profiles of the GT dark dragons, New York Toy Fair 2003 DBZ toys preview, Ultimate Battle 22 game review, How to Draw SSJ4 Vegeta, How to create your own Dragonball, profiles of all the androids  plus heaps more. Needless to say this magazine contains a lot on GT so if you don't want to know what happens in GT then stay away from this! This magazine costs NZ $27.95 and is avaliable from selected magazine retailers.
Tommorow: A review of the July issue of Beckett DBZ Collector which is now avaliable in New Zealand and includes a special feature on Piccolo vs The Hulk!

Dragonball Z Budokai on Gamecube NZ Release Date
Sorry everyone but I didn't get any updates done over the weekend but let me explain. I emailed the people at Madman in Australia as they are the ones who actually make the DBZ Videos and DVD's which are then brought to NZ by Manga and then distributed around NZ. I asked the Mamdan people several questions including when Dragonball will be released and whether the USA's DBGT covers where going to be used here as well. They responded with an email that said they didn't have time to answer my questions and that I should look on their site for myself! Annoyed at this response I did go to their site and looked around for several hours and found nothing to answer my questions. At this point I was tired and went to bed planning to do the updates on Saturday but on Saturday my computer kept crapping out so I just sat back and watched some DBZ in Japanese (with subtitles of course!).
The sad thing was I did actually have some news to report on Saturday that being that
Dragonball Z Budokai for the Nintendo Gamecube has a released date of October 27th. In case your'e wondering the game will be almsot exactly like the PS2 version with the exception of the fact that includes cel shaded graphics like Budokai 2 for the PS2 will have. See the graphics by clicking here.
Finally today don't forget to check out the second part of the humourous comic "When Bulma Attacks" at the bottom of this page.

DB, DBGT and DBZ Movie 8 Release Dates Confirmed!
So I recieved an email from Manga Entertainment today and they told me that Dragonball will be released in October at about 2 volumes a month despite the fact that Madman has yet to mention Dragonball on their site at all and the movie will be released one month after Australia meaning that it is very likely we will see the eighth Dragonball Z movie in October. So here's what the release dates will be...
September 12th 2003
DBZ Series 2 Part Two DVD Boxset (Frieza saga Part 2, Garlic Junior saga)
October 10th 2003
Dragonball GT Volume 1
Baby - Affliction
Dragonball GT Volume 2
Baby - Incubation
Dragonball Z Movie 8
Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan
Dragonball (Original), Two Volumes (which ones are currently unknown)
It should be noted that although the two Dragonball GT volumes and Movie 8 have officially been announced as being released they may be delayed and Dragonball hasn't officially been announced yet and the Manga Entertainment representative is only guessing that Dragonball will be released at two volumes per month but we shall soon see.
Tommorow: Hopefully some updates including the third and final part of Zukin: The Black Wolf of Space!

DBZ Movie 8 & DBGT Release Dates, New DBZ Movie Poster?
Okay so now I'm getting confused. Manga Entertainment told me via emial that both Dragonball and Dragonball GT will be released in October but now the Madman Australia (Manga's Australian counterpart) website has the following dates listed for a September release in Australia...
Dragonball GT 1 Baby: Affliction
Dragonball GT 2 Baby: Incubation
Dragonball Z Movie 8: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan

This would of course mean an October release for New Zealand which makes sense for GT but not for movie 8. Movie 8 will be released on August 26th in the USA and it would mean that Australia will get the movie only two weeks after the USA which is extremely unlikely. Its also possible that if if the Australian release for DBZ Movie 8 is correct it might still be released in November as Movie 7 was released two months after Australia. Anyway its plain to see that Dragonball is not listed as being released in September in Australia and therefore won't be released here in October as I was told.. I also noticed that the GT releases are numbered 1, 2 etc which is okay right now but when Funimation releases the first fifteen episodes it might become a problem (they've skipped them or now). On the upside it seems that all Dragonball GT DVD releases will have the Japanese versions on them unlike the NZ/Australian releases of Dragonball which only had the Japanese versions on them after episode 194. As you can probably tell I was confused by all of this and so I've emailed the people Manga so they can tell me whats going on. I'll tell you all when I get a reply...
Finally today theres been a supposedly new poster for the live action movie which features an actor playing Piccolo in full Piccolo makeup. Its most likely a fake mainly due to the fact that it says the movie release will be in December this year and the movie hasn't even begun filming yet. The current release date is set at 2005. See the poster by

Live Action Movie Info Confirmed on IMDb
For the last couple of months I've been posting lots of info from the live action DBZ movie from this site but now the Internet Movie Database has posted some of the very same information on their page. The IMDb confirms that the director will be Roland Emmerich who has directed such movies as Independence Day, Godzilla and The Patriot while the writer will be Tedi Sarafian who has written such movies as Tank Girl and Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines. None of the cast has been announced on the site. See the IMDB Dragonball Z movie page here.

Possible Budokai 2 Early Release Date
DBZGT Legacy has annouced that Dragonball Z Budokai 2 will see an earlier relase date in Great Britain of mid to late November rather than the December release date for the USA. This applies to New Zealand as the Great Britain version of the game will also be released in New Zealand meaning we could also get an earlier release date than the USA but I wouldn't get your hopes up as The release date for Budokai 1in New Zealand last year was set a week before the US and we ended up getting it the week after.
Of course theres a downside to this announcement as it means the PAL version of the game, which will be relased in the UK, New Zealand and Australia will most likely again have the Japanese voices for the characters in the game which wrecked
Budokai 1. The annoying thing is that not only did the USA version of the game not have the Japanese voices but they had the voices from the TV show! Not only that but the voices were recorded exclusively for the game! The PAL version of Budokai 1 also had a different cover to the version in America and ther American cover to the game was far better in my opinion. I don't understand why they can't have the American voices in the PAL version. Or how about releasing two PAL versions? One can be release for the UK and Europe with the Japanese voices on it while the Australia and NZ version can have a PAL version with the American voices on it. The voices are very important to me and I feel cheated with the Japanese voices in the game. In Budokai 1 the Japense vocies were a definite letdown as among other things you had to read subtitles for the story mode sequences which meant you couldn't look fully at the amazing 3D graphics and the Tournament mode ahd no subtitles and  you had to sit there and listen to the announcer speak a lot in Japanese which 99% of people in New Zealand don't understand. If someone in connection with the making of Budokai 2 reads this I ask you don't have the Japanese voices in the Budokai 2 PAL release!! Please!!!
Also I am pleased to say that I saw my first full Dragonball GT episode last night which like I said on Sunday's update I got on a DVD with comes free with the Legacy of Goku 2 Prima Strategy Guide. The episode I saw was episode 22 "The Baby Secret" and was pretty damn intriguing and cool to watch. Personally I thought all of GT sucked and from what I read it didn't seem that great but this episode proved my thoughts wrong. I'm not going to reveal what happened yet though...
Finally oday I recommend you all check out the
Manga Entertainment Forums. Its a message borad when you can talk about various things and theres one place for talking about Dragonball/Z/GT. I've already joined but I look forward to talking with you
all there!

Dragonball Z Taiketsu Screenshots Revealed!
Just a brief update today as I'm busy watching my new Uncut Frieza Saga Boxset Part One. Unlike I originally said it's only in English but the interesting parts include theres over 20 minutes worth of material that was cut from both the TV and video versions and also the episode ending and beginning points are different. I'll give you better review later on...
Anyway on to the major news for today which is that five new screesnhots from the upcoming Gameboy Advance game,
Dragonball Z: Taiketsu (see the preview page for it here). They look pretty good actually and reveal that Nappa and Raditz will also be playable characters addding to the ten I already knew. Taiketsu is the first ever Dragonball Z fighting game for the handheld console and looks better and better every time I find more info on it. See the screenshots page here
Finally I have two new updates for you. I have redone the Movies and Specials Guide page so it looks better and loads faster and theres also a  brand new comic for you to read the hillarious
When Bulma Attacks! which you can find at the bottom of this page!

Dragonball GT is in New Zealand NOW!!!
Well sort of...Let me explain...So I was walking through my local mall and decided to stop in at Central Park Interactive where I happened to see the Prima Strategy Guide for The Legacy of Goku 2 and then I remembered the DVD you get free with the guide has an episode of Dragonball GT on it!!! This particular episode of Dragonball GT "The Baby Secret". For frequent visitors to the site you may remember on June 13 I mentioned this DVD would probably not see release in New Zealand but by some miracle it has. If you want it the strategy guide costs NZ $39.95 and it comes with the DVD with the following on it....
- Exclusive Dragonball GT episode 22 "The Baby Secret" (English bversion)
- Yu Yu Hakusho Trailer
- Blue Gender Trailer
- Dragonball Z: Broly Movie Trailer
- Atari E3 Sizzle Trailer featuring The Legacy of Goku 2 and Dragonball Z: Budokai 2
- The Legacy of Goku and Dragonball Z: Budokai Sizzle Videos
You can get it at places like Central Park Interactive and Electronics Boutique but remeber it is a limited edition DVD and is not sold separately from the strategy guide. Its also the only way to watch Dragonball GT in New Zealand until the official release in October. One thing you should know it that its not the first GT episode but rather the sixth in the english series. I haven't seen the episode as of yet but I did watch the GT opening movie which just before it played there was a trailer that told us that Dragonball GT would be coming to a next generation console "soon"
Tommorow: The new fan comic "When Bulma Attacks", some updates aplus the first screenshots from Dragonball Z: Taiketsu are revealed!

Zukin Part Two!
I am pleased to announce that the second part of Dragonball Z fan fiction, Zukin: The Black Wolf of Space, which tells the story of Vegeta's borther who is a Saiyan named Zukin and his fight against the Z Warriors. Read the first part here or go right to the second part by clicking here!
With the school holidays over in New Zealand I'll be back to my usual slow pace of updating but I'm happy with how much I did manage to update. Not that I go to school or anymore though but there are circumstances surrounding how often I update the site. I'm planning to write a few articles to go in the
Feature Articles section including a look at the history of DBZ in New Zealand which should be interesting.

Final Cell Games Release Preview
Before I get into the main focus of todays (rather late) update I'd like to say two things. Firstly I checked out this site earlier on today and found sveral of the links weren't working for some bizzare reason and to no fault of my own. If you ever find that that links on the site aren't working please tell me! Email me at [email protected] and tell me and I'll fix them asap. Secondly it seems Manga Entertainment has upgraded their website and it looks a lot better, quite a nice design actually.
Andn now on to the second of three previews of Dragonball Z's releases that come out tommorow. Today I'll preview the final Cell Games release.....

(Episode 176)

Free the Future: Even though peace and order have been reestablished on Earth in the present, Trunks' future world is still a place of darkness and despair! . . . Androids 17 and 18 are on a rampage, wreaking havoc on the defenseless citizens. But when Trunks arrives, the future is forever changed! (Episode 179)
Tommorow: I'll preview the final DBZ release to come out tommorow the Series 2 DVD Boxset as well as hopefully have the Dragonball Preview page and part 2 of Zukin: the Black Wolf of Space!

Dragonball and Dragonball GT NZ Release Dates Announced!
Yeah that's right in the biggest news for a while today I receved an email from Manga Entertainment revealing the NZ release dates for Dragonball and Dragonball GT!!!
I also asked about the Dragonball Z Series 2 Boxset Part 2 (the first one is released on Friday) which features uncut Frieza and Garlic Junior saga episodes as it was not being released in August like I thought it would be but they told me it would be released in the folowing month (September).
Anyway on to the exciting part which is that Dragonball and Dragonball GT will be released the very next month, in October! It can be assumed I would say that that GT will be released like DBZ was with two releases every month but I have no clue how they will release Dragonball considering they will be playing the fourth Dragonball movie at the Wellington Armageddon and NZ hasn't seen the first three yet....And for those lucky people in Australia you can expect DB and DBGT to be there a month earlier than us (September)
Conicidentally I've also finished the
Dragonball GT Preview page (I'll add more to it later though) which has sctreenshots and info from the series but be warned it does contain some quite major spoilers so stay away if you don't want to know (of course by telling you all that its there and saying "don't visit the page" is like waving a bone in front of a hungry dog). I also completed the preview page for Dragonball Z Taiketsu, a DBZ fighting game for the Gameboy Advance.
And now as I promised heres the first of three previews for the DBZ releases starting with...
Dragonball Z Volume 3.23 Cell Games - Sacrifice
Formats: Video (Cut, although still more uncut than what was on TV), DVD (Uncut)
Release Date: Friday 18th July
Rating: TBC
Buy it!: Click here
Features the episodes:
Cells Breakdown: Gohan's Super Saiyan powers seem to have no limit as the young hero delivers Cell a punch so severe it causes the monster to cough up Android 18! As the once unstoppable Cell powers down, Gohan prepares to deal him the final blow (Episode 172)
A Hero's Farewell: Clearly outmatched by the powered-up Gohan, Cell initates his last line of defense -- a self-destruct program that will blow up the entire planet! With only seconds to act, Goku uses his Instant Tranmission technique to transport Cell away from the Earth. The planet is saved, but at what cost? (Episode 173)
Cell Returns: The nightmare continues! Cell explodes but he is not completely destroyed! A particle of Cell's nucleus survives the blast, which is all the sinister android needs to regenerate himself! Cell is restored to his needs to regenerate himself! Cell is restored to his Ultimate Form, and returns to the Earth more powerful than ever. (Episode 174)
The Horror Won't End: Is Cell invincible? After easily dispensing of both Trunks and Vegeta, he certainly seems to be! At last realizing his full potential, Cell announces a new plan... First destroy the Earth. And after that the Universe! Can this ultimate living weapon be stopped? (Episode 175)
Tommorow: Hopefully a preview page for Dragonball plus a preview of the next release on Friday "Cell Games - Nightmares End"

Chris Sabat at Wellington Armageddon News
Its typical that every time I complain about the lack of news theres some all of a sudden and this time it comes from the Official Site.
Although I had already known that the voice of Vegeta and Piccolo, Chris Sabat would be coming to Wellington for their Armageddon Pulp Culture September 20th-22nd back in April when at the Auckland expo Sean Schemmel  (voice of Goku and King Kai) announced it to the crowd bu the Official Site did give some inforamtion that I didn't know...
"
Appearing at Armageddon Pulp Culture Expo Saturday September 20th through Monday September 22nd, is non other than the voice of Vegeta and Piccolo himself, Christopher Sabat. Chris will be signing free collector cards during the expo, as well as hosting the Armageddon Kamehameha Contest and introducing a special screening of the all new Dragonball movie - The Path To Power.
WHEN: Saturday September 20th through Monday September 22nd, 2003
WHERE: Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington, New Zealand
HOW MUCH: Entry cost - Adult one day $13
Child (12 and Under) - one day pass $8
Family pass (2 Adults & 2 Children)
One day only $35 pre-sale tickets will be available from Ticketek from August 10th 2003.
"
Obviously the bit that shot out at me is the bit where it says he will be introducing the Dragonball movie "The Path to Power" as none of Dragonball has been released in New Zealand (or Australia for that matter) and Dragonball has only be seen by the select few who are lucky enough to have Sky Digital (not me). This could mean they will be releasing Dragonball in New Zealand earlier than I had thought (November/December 2003) and it could come to New Zealand at the earliest in October but we shall see....
In updates news I have the promised
Dragonball Z Budokai 2 Preview page ready for you all to see. The page features tones of info including release dates, screenshots, playable characters, game features and an interview the games executive producer! Check it out!
Tommorow: Yeah I know I said I'd have a video release preview for you today but I've run out of time so that will begin tommorow with the first of three DBZ releases previews (which are all released on Friday) Dragonball Z Volume 3.23 Cell Games - Sacrifice!

What I'm Doing...
Not much news relevant to New Zealand recently (there was an anime day in Texas, USA but thats pretty useless if you live in New Zealand) so I'd thought I'd just tell you what I'm up to. Don't worry though I won't go on too long about it.
I am currently working on preview page for the DBZ video games Dragonball Z: Budokai 2 for PS2 and Dragonball Z: Taiketsu for Gameboy Advance as well as previews for the two Dragonball series to come to New Zealand Dragonball (no Z) and Dragonball GT. I've also working on a series of
Feature Articles and the long awaited Picture Gallery but for now you can read the latest update for Ask Gohan as Rizwan has trouble finding the Buu saga CCG plus where is the Manga Entertainment store? These questions are answered in this weeks Ask Gohan. If you want to ask me a question then email your DBZ questions to me at [email protected] for the next update. I always answer questions given to me!
Finally today I've got the third and final part of
Super Saiyan Gohan! at the bottom of this page as an angry Gohan takes on....Goku!
Tommorow: Three new DBZ releases are being releaed shortly  including the uncut final episodes of the Cell games and first Frieza saga Boxset and I'll preview each one leading up to their release on Friday beginning with part one tommorow!

Zukin is Here!
I am proud to present the first ever fan fiction to be featured on this site. Its called Zukin: The Black Wolf of Space and its by Cole Marentette. It deals with a Saiyan that comes to Earth seeking revenge and you can read the first part which is entitled "The Coming of the Wolf" by clicking here.
And finally in updates news I have completed pages on the
Dragonball Graphic Novels
and the
Dragonball Z Graphic Novels. The pages include the chapter titles and original release dates for the English version of Akira Toriyama's Japanese Dragonball manga so you all enjoy those and I'll have some more updates on Monday! See ya!

New Information on DBZ Budokai 2 and Taiketsu
I found several new sources of information on both DBZ: Budokai 2, the sequel to the first DBZ: Budokai for the PS2 and Dragonball Z: Taiketsu, a DBZ fighting game for the Gameboy Advance. So here we go...
Dragonball Z Budokai 2: The people over at Gamespot maaged to get an interview with game creators Atari about the game and discovered many pervously unknown thingsincluding that the new game will not have a straight out Story Mode like the first one did but will have a new mode currenly called Dragon World where you race to see who can collect all seven Dragonballs first. The game will feature many new locations to fight at including Orange Star High School and Capsule Corp. Also by popular demand there willl now be power struggles where you fire an energy blast and your o[pponent also fires an energy blast and then you battle it out to see who wins. This was something many people wanted in the first game. There will also be plenty more "What if" fusions like in the first Budokai (where Krillin fused with Cell!). Read more info about the game here and see some screenshots here. Thanks to Gamespot for this information!
Dragonball Z: Taiketsu: Very little has been known about this one which is a DBZ fighting game for the Gameboy Advance but again Gamespot got a hold of a hefty amount of information when they did a Q & A with Producer, Chris Lundeen. Their will be fifteen fighters to choose from in this game. Currently confirmed characters are  Goku, Buu, Gohan, Cell, Piccolo, Frieza, Trunks, Vegeta, Brolly (from DBZ Movie 8) and Gotenks. It has also been confirmed that there will be hidden characters in the game which will be unlocked in a variety of ways. The game will be able to be played with two players but each player must have both a Gameboy Advance as well as the game itself. The game will also be able to connect to the Nintendo Gamecube as a future DBZ Gamecube release connected with this game will unlock more secrets in Taiketsu. This information thanks to Gamespot. See more info on the game here.

DBZ Movie 8 "Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan" Preview
The eighth Dragonball Z Movie "Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan" will be released in America next month and the Official Site has put up a preview of it...
"
A Saiyan warrior has arrived on Earth.  His name is Paragus and he seeks the rightful ruler of the Saiyans, Vegeta!  Confessing his loyalty to his new king, Paragus pleads with the powerful warrior to vanquish a rampaging Super Saiyan who is threatening to destroy the entire galaxy!
But when King Kai learns of the Super Saiyan threat he begs Goku to rush to the scene of the action to take care of the problem himself.  Sparks will fly as Goku and Vegeta clash over who is to be the one to confront the galaxy's new menace.
However, the mysterious Paragus is not what he seems.  What information does he have about Goku and Vegeta's past?  With Paragus' volatile son Broly on the scene, the Saiyan power struggle reaches new levels of excitement and danger.  Broly has his own agenda, and his target is the most powerful Saiyan in the Universe!  But will it be Goku or Vegeta?
"
Sound interesting doesn't it. This is by far the most anticipated movie yet mainly because it contains the first appearence of the legendary super Saiyan Broly who only appears in the movies. It will be released in the USA on August 26th and will come to NZ I would guess early next year. But don't despair as before that is Dragonball and Dragonball GT!! (Preview Pages coming soon!).
Finally today I've completed the
Battle List and also I've added more battles including ones from the Other World Tournament.
Tommorow: Zukin is unleashed upon this website! Don't miss the action!!!

Dragonball Game for the PS2 in Developement, Fusion Saga CCG
While all the current releases drom the Dragonball series in the USA so far have been from Dragonball Z they are finally making a game about Dragonball. Heres the news from DBZGT Legacy....
"
Daisuke Uchiyama from, executive producer of Budokai 2, has said, in a recent GamePro Magazine interview, that a Dragonball game is currently in developement. It will be a RPG for the PS2, and will cover the young life of Son Goku. From his training will Roshi, to the defeat of Piccolo Daimao. No further information is provided."
Sounds pretty interesting to me. A release date was not given but I would think it would be Early-Mid next year and while if the game had come out now it might not have been released in New Zealand but with the Dragonball series being released in New Zealand in November/December this year it most likely will.
In DBZ CCG news Score has begun previewing the Fusion Saga of the DBZ CCG with new cards appearing on the site daily from now until the release in August. The first card is Majin Buu, Evil Buu. See the card and learn about more preview cards by
clicking here. You may have noticed that the DBZ CCG expansions seem to be being released a lot quicker than in previous years and Score explains why, here.
Finally you may be interested to know that
Dragonball.com has updated their summaries section with the King Piccolo and Piccolo Jr saga's which are the final two Dragonball saga's. Be warned that they contain spoilers but you may want to check it out anyway just to see what Dragonball is about.

Competition Winner Announced, Who is Zukin?
Well the Extreme Competition has finished and so I put the nine entries on equally sized pieces of paper numbering each one 1-9 and put them all in a hat and had my sister pick one out. Anyway the winner was Lee Blackburn of Glenfield, Auckland and he chose DBZ movie 7 Super Android 13 as his prize! Good choice Lee and a new competition will be coming soon!
Coming Soon to Gohan Extreme 3000...
Vegeta was told he was the one, the super saiyan to be but his father lied to him for there was another. Zukin the Black Wolf of Space. But now Zukin is coming to Earth and he wants to settle the score.

DBZ Movies 9-13 Dates, Competition Slightly Extended
Hi everyone. Today I've got some news for you on the release of DBZ Movies 9-13 along with a heap of updates and some competition news so sit back and enjoy todays update!
DBZGT Legacy has revealed from a secret source the release dates of the last five DBZ movies. Remember that these release dates are for America and in NZ we get them about 5-6 months after America...
"Bojack: Supreme Evil" (Movie 9) - February 2004
"Broly's Return" (Movie 10) - August 2004
"The Bio Warrior" ( Movie 11) - February 2005
"Rise of Janemba" (Movie 12) - August 2005
"The Legend of Tapion" (Movie 13) - February 2005
Personally I found these dates to be quite shocking as I was hoping Funimation would release more than two DBZ movies a year as taking that long to release them all would seriously damage their sales (DBZ will be old news by mid 2005). We shall see soon whether this information is true. The next released DBZ movie though is the highly anticipated Movie 8 - "Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan" to be released in the USA in August and in NZ early next year...
Now to the competition which I am slightly extending so it will finish Midday Tuesday 8th July (Tommorow) this is to give people a chance to read this update before the comp finishes. To all those that have entred I'd like to thank you all I've had nine entries so far. Remember though if you haven't received a "Competion Entry Verification" email then you're not in the contest and if you receive a "Changes needed" email then you'll need to change or confirm something such as your address, which fight you mean, or you may have left out your top five fights. The top three fights are currently 1. Gohan vs Perfect Cell 2. Goku vs Majin Vegeta and 3. Goku vs Kid Buu while the award for the oddest fight in somebody's top five goes to Kid Trunks vs Mr Satan. All that happened in that one was Kid Trunks punched Mr Satan into a wall!!
In updates news I've done a heap of updates which I'll now list. Tonight I might do some more including finishing the
Battle List.
1. Character Guide - Added two of Frieza's lesser known henchman, Namol and Oren
2. Ask Gohan - Answered several more questions including the answer to whether Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha and Chaozu learned the Kaioken technique from King Kai
3. Upgraded the summaries for Dragonball Z Movie 1 - DeadZone and Dragonball Z Movie 2 - The Worlds Strongest to Movie Guides (now with added features!)
4. Added DBZ Specials Guides for Special #1 Bardock: The Father of Goku and Special #2 The History of Trunks
5. The second part of the three part humourous comic Super Saiyan Gohan! is now at the bottom of this page
Tommorow: The competition winner is revealed plus all the latest nws and perhaps some more updates!
Zukin is Coming...

Dragonball Z Budokai 2  - New Information Revealed!
Dragonball Z Budokai 2, the sequel to the hit PS2 game Dragonball Z Budokai will see release in December and some more information has been revealed including the enw characters in this announcement on DBZonPS2.com...
"
Budokai 2 will include the original 23 characters plus 11 new characters, bringing the total playable character number to 34. Goten, Young Trunks, Teen Gohan, Videl, Majin Vegeta, Supreme Kai, Dabura, Android 20, and three forms of Buu.
At Mr. Popo's shop, the player can also buy fusions so that two characters can be combined to form a new character as a skill. Also, old Budokai PS2 data can be used in Budokai 2 so that old breakthroughs, skills, and such will transfer. There will also be new moves available for each of the Budokai 1 characters.
Dragon mode is one of the other additions to Budokai 2 where the player will play through a quest in single player mode. The object of the game is to gather a team of fighters to search for the seven dragon balls before the computer controlled fighters do. This mode is definitely going to take come practice to get figure out what fighter or team will bring victory
."
This sounds pretty god to me although I was hoping the characters like King Cold, Jeice, Burter or Pikkon would be playable characters in the game but his sounds pretty good as it seems that having the first game will be an advantage if you have the second. The definite forms of Buu will be Fat Buu and Super Buu while the third will most likely be Kid Buu and if I'm not mistaken this will be the first DBZ fighting game where you can be Videl.
I'm really quite dissapointed in how the competitionis going as only five people have entered and it finishes Tuesday. I offer you guys the chance to win a FREE brand new Dragonball Z video of your choice and only five people enter! I really don't understand. So anyway in case you don't know how to enter then
click here and it will be explained to you. The competition calls for you to name your top five DBZ fights and of the entries so far the top two are (predictably) Perfect Cell vs Gohan and Goku vs Majin Vegeta.
I was going to use this time to mention the updates I'd done but I've decided to wait till Monday when I'll have a large announcement of updates so see you then!

What is the Future of Gohan Extreme 3000?
This is really an inevitable question that I feel I must answer. With the end of Dragonball Z in New Zealand does this mean this website will close? The answer is no mainly because despite what some of you believe there is more from the Dragonball universe yet to be seen and I will be around to cover it. Heres a list of what we still have to see in New Zealand.....
1. Dragonball Z Movies 8-13 - There are still another six Dragonball Z movies to go including the introduction of the legendary super saiyan, Brolli and even Super Saiyan 2 Gohan as well as Gogeta who is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta using the fusion dance! The next movie is movie 8, "Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan" which is releasein the USA on August 26 and should be in NZ some time after that.
2. Dragonball (Original Series) (153 episodes) - Before Dragonball Z in Japan there was Dragonball which deals with Goku as a kid as he learns to fight and meets many of his friends includign Bulma, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo and Master Roshi. Although Draghonball starts off being more of a comedy than a fighting series as the series progresses that familiar Dragonball Z action becomes more and more prominent. This series will finally come to New Zealand in "Late 2003"
3. Dragonball Movies 1-4 - Movies based around the original Dragonball series including "Mystical Adventure" and "The Path to Power" should be released soon!
4. Dragonball GT (64 episodes) - The sequel series to Dragonball Z is set five years after DBZ's en as a wish from the Draghonablls acidently turns Goku into a kid again. Some things to look forward to include a new level of super saiyan and the return of old villains including Android 17, Frieza, Cell and Nappa! NZ release: Late 2003 (November/December)
5. Dragonball GT Special - Set 100 years after he end of Dragonball GT the only character alive fromthe series is Pan as one of Goku's decendants has an adventure all of his own.
These last two are only possible releases and may or may not happen...
6. Saiyan and Namek saga's Uncut - The first 53 episodes of 53 were brutally cut and censored and things like the word "death" or kill" were not allowed to be said so Funimation has said they will restore the 15 episodes worth of cut footage as well as having the current cast as the voices so the same voices can be heard thoughout the series. Possible NZ release: Late 2004
7. Dragonball Z Live Action Movie - This one could be interesting if it ever sees release as it wll probably the only chance DBZ fans have of seeing DBZ on the big screen. Possible release: 2005
As you can see there is a lot more we have to see and thats why I will stay around with this site keeping you updated on all the news as well as having all the info and images you need! The main change you may notice is that the site will start to cover things from Dragonball and Dragonball GT as well as more Dragonball Z. In August this site will celebrate its third birthday and I intend to be around to celebrate it!
As long as there is Dragonball to be had I shall be here to tell you all about it. You can be assured of that!
Dragonball Forever
Your friend, gohan2k
Tommorow: Hopefully I'll have some updates for you as well as an update on the competition which is still on as well as some DBZ Budokai news!

Final Ever DBZ Episode on TV TODAY!
Hi I thought that extra important news deserved an extra big headline and news doesn't get any bigger than this! Yes after three years in New Zealand the final ever Dragonball Z episode "Goku's Next Journey" screens on TV today at 4.30pm on TV3. There are no more Dragonball Z episodes after this (although there is a sequel series, Dragonball GT which the info on is coming soon). In the final ever DBZ episode Goku fights the mysterious Uub and makes a suprising decision. Make sure you don't miss this one!
I was hoping to have some special background music for today only but unfortunately it failed to upload..
The competition is going rather poorly so far with only two people entering so far giving the two entries a 50/50 chance of winning. If you want to enter the competition to win yourself a Dragonball Z video of your choice. Then
click here for the details and rules. Remember you need to include your top five DBZ fights but if you have trouble thinking of some then check this new section out which lists all the fights in Dragonball Z.
If you live in the North Island of New Zealand and are interested in Dragonball Z action figures then you will definitely want to get down to your local Warehouse store where theres 50-55% of selected Dragonball Z action figures including basic action figures series 10 and 1l (featuring SSJ3 Goku, SSJ Gohan, Supreme Kai with Kibito, Evil Buu, Gotenks and SSJ Vegeta) for only NZ $7.99 each!!! (usually $18.99, thats 55% off). Theres also 50% off Secret Saiyan Warriors (such as Vegeta, Goku, Majin Buu and Cell) down to $14.99 usually $29.99 (50% off). I got myself a cool as SSJ3 Goku figure (I don't usually collect figures but this was too good to pass up!). The sale ends next Tuesday so be quick!
Tommorow: A look at the latest issue of Beckett DBZ Collector to be released in New Zealand. This one features a massive feature on Trunks!

Movie 8 Music Revealed, Don't Forget to Enter the Competition
FUNimation has revealed the bands that will be featuring in the eighth DBZ movie, Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan. Most of the 12 announced bands I've never heard of (the only one I have heard of actually is Pantera). You can see a full list of the bands by ckecking out the music page of this site here.
Don't forget to enter the competition and win yourself a Dragonball Z video of your choice. Check out all the details you need to send
here. When I receive your entry I'll send you a verifcation email where you can check that all your details are correct and if any changes need to be made (like you didn't include your address) I'll mention them too.
In updates news I've begun the process of turning the Movie Summaries page into a
Movie Guide. The difference is that the Movie Guide features more than just a summary including release dates, the original Japanese title and my review of it. At the moment there are guides for...
Movie #3 Tree of Might
Movie #4 Lord Slug
Movie #5 Coolers Revenge
Movie #6 The Return of Cooler
Movie #7 Super Android 13 (My favourite movie so far)
The last three are completely brand new pages. Next up I'll do guides for Movies 1 and 2 as well as the two DBZ specials. Hopefully I'll have some more updates for you tommorow. Tommorow is also the last ever Dragonball Z episode!!!
Have you wondered what would of happened if Gohan went Super saiyan in the fight against Frieza. One artist also wondered this and created a comedic comic strip which I call
Super Saiyan Gohan! Check out part one at the bottom of this page!
