| 29th May 2003 by gohan2k Episode Review #2 - "The Incredible Fighting Candy" Theres still no new to report today so I ahve another review of what TV3 played yesterday which was "The Incredible Fighting Candy". Firstly I'd like to point out something I noticed in the "Last time of Dragonball Z'" segment where I could of sworn Majin Buu actually said "F***k Off!" but after checking the subtitles I discovered he actually said "Bug Off" which sounds quite stupid. But anyway my thoughts on this episode are good its pretty damn funny to see Buu being beaten up by a piece of candy. I didn't actually see the episode on TV but watched it on DVD so I'm not sure how much you got to see. My fave bit is the first bit when the Vegito candy rears back Buu's fist and then uses Buu's own fist to punch himself in the head. Ten of course Buu absorbs Vegito and then the episode ends. But notice how the preview for the next episode shows Goku and Vegeta separated? All of that will be explained in todays equally funny (and disgusting) episode "The Innards of Buu" 28th May 2003 by gohan2k Review of Yesterdays Episode - "Vegito...Downsized" Considering theres a lack of news recently I thought I'd give my review of yesterdays DBZ episode "Vegito...Downsized". I quite liked this episode as there was a lot of cool fight scenes between Vegito and Buu my fasvourite was when Buu used Gotenk's Super Ghost Kamikaze attack and then had all of the ghosts do a Kamehameha that was some funny stuff. Vegito is totally awesome and thats not suprising considering he's the fusion of Goku and Vegeta. The weirdest scene is definitely Dabura in the Other World, I mean what the hell is with that? Dabura with love hearts in his eyes? I call him "Lovey Dovey Dabura"... That was just weird... 27th May 2003 by gohan2k Origin of Dragonball - "The Monkey King" Some of you may know about the mini series playing on TV3 this Sunday and Monday at 8.30pm called "The Monkey King" but what you probably don't know is that this mini series is based on a Chinese legend called "Hsi Yu Chi" ("Journey to the West") which Dragonball was also based on. Here's what Beckett Dragonball Z Collector's Greg Werner had to say about the comparison between Journey to the West and The Monkey King... "The Monkey King (aka "The Lost Empire") - A television movie produced by NBC and aired in March 2001. It connects His Yu Chi to modern times and argues over the importance of the story, and the influence it has had on people over time. Certainly cant argue with that! However, the story is really an "Americanization" of the series. Real names of characters are rarely used, and the story is, well, a bit lacking. Regardless it is interesting to see the story used in American culture." Some of the characters in The Monkey King still retain their Journey to the West characterestics and show where some Dragonball characters came from such as Wu (originally in Journey to the West he was knwon as Sun Wukong) who in Dragonball is Goku and Pigsy who in Dragonball is Oolong. I'll watch the series and see who else from Dragonball has an equivalent in The Monkey King... Over the last couple of weeks I've been doing Today in Dragonball History as a lot events in Dragonball and Dragonball Z happen in May. After today there isn't another important date until September 1st when Goku met Bulma for the first time. Yesterday a very important DBZ event happened but I forgot about it so heres yesterday and today in Dragonball history! Yesterday in Dragonball Z History (May 26th) 767 A.D. (Dragonball Z Cell Games Saga) At 12 noon the Cell Game begins, Goku dies a second time by sacrificing himself to save the Earth, Gohan goes Super Saiyan 2 for the first time and completely destroys Cell with his one handed Kamehameha. Today in Dragonball Z History (May 27th) 767 A.D. (Dragonball Z Cell Games saga) Gokus funeral after his death in the fight with Cell, Future Trunks returns to his time where he then kills Androids 17 and 18 and later on his timelines Cell. 26th May 2003 by gohan2k New Beckett DBZ Collector in NZ, DBZ at E3, DBZ Mini Figures I finally got my hands on the latest Best of Beckett Dragonball Z Collector (Number 9). Sadly it looks like Number 8 will never be released in New Zealand leaving me with numbers 3-7 and 9 (If you see it it has Super Buu on the cover with the words "The Best of Dragonball Z" please tell me if you see it!). Anyway this issue has a holographic cover with Goku and Vegeta on it and that changes to Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta. Inside theres a LOT of stuff including two posters, Vetea and Goku facts, DBZ Budokai for PS2 info, Top 10 Vegeta and Goku scenes, How to Draw Super Saiyan Goku, Two Kid Buu Video Reviews, All about DBZ animations cels, who the fans want to see portray the DBZ characters in the live action DBZ movie, a fake interview with Vegeta and Goku and lots more. Theres a lot in this softcover book style magazine. It costs $27.95 from selected magazine retailers. The Official DBZ Website has put up pages on both the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and the I-Men range of Dragonball Z mini figures so you might like to check those out. The I-Men page also has pics of the Fusion Figure collection which includes Gotenks, Vegito, Super Buu (after absorbing Gohan) and strangely Super Saiyan 3 Goku which is not a fusion! Finally today don't forget to check out the second and final part of the Baby Vegeta comic at the bottom of this page! 23rd May 2003 by gohan2k GT Episodes 1-15 Confirmed, Broly Movie Preview Clip Hi everyone got a large amount of news for you today as I was unable to update yetsterday and naturally that is when there was lots of news! Probably the biggest news is the official word on the first fifteen episodes of Dragtonball GT which were skipped as they were found to be a boring part of the series. Up until now there has been no official word on whether or not we will ever see these episodes but finally there has been an official word from Funimation. Heres the news from Daizenshuuu EX... "Fans can rest assured; at Anime Central this weekend, FUNimation announced (among other things) that GT episodes 1-15 will indeed be released; this will happen after 16-64 have been fully released. So there you go! FUNi went on to say that ALL "DragonBall" and "DragonBall Z" episodes will see an American DVD release eventually." In other news the Official Site has put up video preview of the upcoming eigth Dragonball Z movie to be released in the USA in August and in New Zealand in probably December. Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan is the first movie to feature the popular Broly and you can download the video clip by clicking here. Heres some more interesting news from Daizenshuu Ex "According to Anime Nation, Pioneer has announced that their distribution license to "DragonBall Z" will expire on August 31st. FUNimation has already announced their plans to re-dub and re-release these early episodes (which comprise of 53 English dubbed episodes, 67-68 original Japanese episodes) and release them on uncut, billingual DVDs (similar to the rest of their releases) sometime in 2004. The first three DBZ movies already have an uncut dub/sub DVD release; it is unknown what FUNimation will do with these movies (but they will probably just leave them as-is)." More news and updates tommorow! 21st May 2003 by gohan2k Voice of Vegeta at Wellington Armageddon I announced this in April but only now has the Official Expo Website confirmed it that Chris Sabat, voice of several characters in DBZ such as Vegeta, Piccolo and Yamcha will be atttending the Wellington Armageddon Pulp Culture Expo on September 20th-22nd. As well as hosting a Kamehameha contest and signing free cards the expo organisers are hoping he will participate in a small voice acting class but details on that will come shortly. Read some info on Chris Sabat by clicking here Theres been a sad lack of news recently and thats why I didn't update recently. And now heres a special feature on the current status of Dragonball Z in New Zealand........... - All the Dragonball Z episodes have been released in New Zealand with the exclusion of the final four Cell Games releases on Video and DVD which will be in NZ by the end of July and the Captain Ginyu/Frieza/Garlic Junior sagas on DVD which will be out by August - New Dragonball Z is currently playing on TV3 Monday to Thursday with the battle between Majin Buu and Vegito still to come. Saturdays at 8.30am TV3 screens Android saga repeats - Dragonball and Dragonball GT will be in New Zealand "Late 2003" but not before September 19th May 2003 by gohan2k Character Guide Updates, New Baby Vegeta Comic With the final episodes of Dragonball Z now in New Zealand it means that I've seen all the Dragonball Z episodes and was able to add several more characters to the Character Guide including Pan, Bra, Uub, Moukeko and Captain Chicken. Also today there is the first part of a two part comic which looks at what Vegeta might of been like as a baby! Check it out at the bottom of this page! Today in Dragonball Z History (May 19th) 767 A.D. (Dragonball Z Cell Saga) Seven days before the beginning of the Cell Games Goku and his family go for a picnic, At around noon, Cell single-handedly destroys the Royal Army. Later on that day Dende becomes the new Kami. Vegeta exits the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Trunks enters it. 17th May 2003 by gohan2k Final DBZ Episodes Review, More Budokai 2 Info Dragonball Z Budokai 2 has only recently been announced but the news is streaming in. Heres some more info on the game from DBZonPS2.com Due in December 2003 on PS2, Budokai 2 adds 11 new character to the 23 character roster, for a total of 34 fighters in all. It's once again cel-shaded; and it features graphics and design similar to the first title. A number of additions should appeal to those who enjoyed the first. For instance, supporting character Buu appears in three forms; the environments are far more destructive than before (showing off, for instance, more scorched Earth areas), and numerous cutscenes of betrayal as well as new and old rivalries. Budokai 2 is based on the same engine as last year's game. Strangely, in response to the biggest criticism the first game received (which was that there was no jumping attacks or ducking), the designers responded by saying, "When did Dragon Ball Z characters ever duck in the anime series?" Instead, fighters may "deflect" attacks.Another new addition is Dragon Mode. In it, players select from a roster of DBZ fighters, and Goku and his three-man team venture from territory to territory (seven in all) in search for Dragon Balls. Collect them all and you'll be rewarded with a wish. And for those who played the first, your Memory Card Save will function in Budokai 2, enabling you to use the saved characters, capsules or Dragon Balls (Atari wouldn't specify). Visiting the Madman website I was able to find release dates for the remainder of Dragonball Z still yet to be released so heres yesterdays release dates with the new additions added. 3.21 Cell Games: Earths Last Hope (Video and DVD) Friday June 13 2003 3.22 Cell Games: Awakening (Video and DVD) Friday June 14 2003 3.23 Cell Games: Sacrifice (Video and DVD) July 2003 3.34 Cell Games: Nightmares End (Video and DVD) July 2003 Series 2: Collection One (Vol 2.1-2.8, 8 DVDs) DVD Boxset July 2003 Series 2: Collection Two (Vol 2.9-2.15, 7 DVDs) DVD Boxset August 2003 Dragonball Late 2003 Dragonbal GT Late 2003 Just so you know the release dates for July and August are only likely release dates and could be delayed Ill have more accurate release dates closer to the release of these. As for Dragonball and Dragonball GT Its likely these will begin being released between September and December this year but its almost definite that neither will be released before September. And now to my review of the final DBZ release Dragonball Z 5.17 Kid Buu: A New Beginning Gohan2ks Review Gohan Rating: ***** out of ***** (5 out of 5) My Review: The first episode begins shortly after the last DBZ release left off as the gang get together for a party meanwhile Goku is of trying to save some Pteranodon eggs from being crushed before they are born. Of course you cant help but wonder why he would bother with this but I think it proves that Goku does care about other things besides fighting. The next three episodes are set ten years after Majin Buus defeat and its good to hear Future Trunks voice again (hes done by Eric Vale) as now Kid Trunks has become a teenager. Naturally Goten is also a teenager as is Krillin and #18s daughter Marron. Goku is now a grandfather to Gohan and Videls daughter, Pan and Vegeta and Bulma now have a daughter (who is not named but her name is Bra or in the English version, Bulla). Without giving too much away I think that theres no better way to end the series. The fans get a good fight, and a happy ending as presented here is probably the best way to the the saga that is Dragonball Z. Its a lot better than one of Akira Toriyamas original ending points for the series which would have been Goku dying after defeating Frieza (Frieza would of died by the way) and Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha and Chaozu were also dead. Anyway I give this one five out of five (Id give it a six but that would be wrong) I mean it is the finale of Dragonball Z!!! In updates news today Ive upgraded and updated the Timeline and Power Levels (which now include the Buu saga) so make sure you check those out! Finally just a note to go a check out The Matrix: Reloaded I saw it today and I recommend you do. If you liked the first one youll like this! Today in Dragonball Z History (May 17th) 767 A.D. (Dragonball Z Cell Saga) Cell announces the Cell Game to the entire World, Goku and Gohan exit the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. |

The E3 convention is currently going in Los Angeles, USA and the Official Site has video clips that you can watch that preview the upcoming Dragonball Z video games including Dragonball Z Budokai 2 which will include 34 characters (not sure which ones but the ones in the trailer are Goku, Vegeta, Super Buu and Piccolo) as well as improved 3D graphics which make it look more like the anime does. Also previewed in the trailer is The Legacy of Goku 2 (read more about that game here) which tells you that you can play as several characters including Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo and Gohan whereas in the original you could only be Goku. The game, Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu is in the works at Webfoot Technologies, the same development studio that's worked on the past two Dragon Ball Z RPG games for Infogrames and Atari. Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu is planned for a November release. No other details or screens were revealed about the game since it's extremely early in development." DBZonPS2 also has links so you can download the game previews trailer or if you can't download the trailer you can just check out the Budokai 2 screenshots the site has. While I picked up my copy of Dragonball Z Kid Buu - A New Beginning I found the Movie 7 Super Android 13 was not there yet so I'll wait to do my review of it (I saw it at the Armageddon Expo in April but I want to see it again before I review it) but while I was there I checked the Manga Entertaiment catalogue for New Zealand release dates so here they are... 3.21 Cell Games: Awakening (Video and DVD) - Friday 13th June 3.22 Cell Games: Earth's Last Hope (Video and DVD) - Friday 13th June Series 2 DVD Boxsets (Captain Ginyu, Frieza, Garlic Junior sagas) - "Soon" Dragonball and Dragonball GT - "Late 2003" Today in Dragonball Z History May 16th 767 A.D. It has officially been announced that the popular DBZ video game, Dragonball Z: Budokai has a sequel. In this months isue of Gamespot magazine which is now out in America mentions both the official title which is Dragonball Z Budokai, Part 2 - Legendary Super Warriors and the release date is set for America's winter of this year (our summer) and will probably come out in either November or December. The characters that will be in the game are not known yet and I think that this game will only be on PS2 for a while as Budokai on GameCube will only have come out a couple of months earlier. In related news it seems that Infogrames who hold the rights to all DBZ video games in the USA are now officially called Atari so check out their website by clicking here. Some of you might be intrested to know that Dragonball Z will be mentioned on tonights episode of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. In tonights episode which is called "Potential" one of the characters named Andrew mentions Dragonball Z, Vegeta, Goku and Saiyans. If your intrested in watching this mention then make sure you check out tonights episode of Buffy at 8.30pm on TV4. The line comes shortly after Andrew says "I'm not begging' to which Buffy replies "You're like a small dog dancing for Snausages" in case your intrested in hearing it. Two new Dragonball Z releases come out on Friday. One is Dragonball Z Movie 7 - Super Android 13 while the other is the last Dragonball Z release Kid Buu - A New Beginning so over the next couple of days I'll preview both starting today with a preview of Dragonball Z Movie 7... With Doctor Gero dead, who is responsible for master-minding this new wave of Androids that are stronger, faster, and ten times more deadly that before? The mystery unravels itself as the Android Assault begins! Buy this video! Video/DVD Tommorow: A preview of the final Dragonball Z episode release Kid Buu - A New Beginning with the final four episodes of DBZ ever made! 13th May 2003 by gohan2k Its About Time! - Dragonball Z Live Action Movie News... Its been over a year since the Dragonball Z live action movie was announced and since then the only thing that happened was the occasional poll on the Official Site in which the fans decided Jet Li should be Goku while Jackie Chan should be Vegeta. The original release date was set for Late 2003/Early 2004 but it seems that has changed in this news from Saiyanz Rage... Sources inside 20th Century FOX Report: FOX is shooting for a PG-13 rating [which in New Zealand will probably be either a PG or a M] and a running time of somewhere between 3 to 4 hours. They are hoping for the DBZ movie saga to be 4 episodes long (4 movies). Starting in The Saiyan Saga, The Frieza Saga, The Android/Cell Saga, and the Majin Buu Saga. George Lucas' CGI company ILM has signed a contract to do the special effects. Some sad news, due to casting and scheduling difficulties, filming that was set to begin real soon has been put off until Summer 2004. The original Release Date. Once the movie is finished filming and all post-production effects are added in, this movie may not be out until well into 2005. As of right now there is no definite title. The most obvious choice would be plain "DragonBall Z", but FOX is also leaning toward "DragonBall Z: Unlimited" or "DragonBall Z: Fight For Mankind." Sounds pretty cool doesn't it? Out of the two titles suggested I prefer Dragonball Z: Unlimited as that just sounds cool. I hope it does become a series of movies. 2005 may seem like a long time away right now but it seems a good place. Dragonball GT and the rest of the movies, actually everything to do with DB,DBZ and DBGT will probably be over by that time so the movies will be a good revival. As I mentioned yesterday the Extreme Competition 2 has ended and its time to announce the winner! The winner was Willem van Gent of Mt Albert, Auckland and he has won himself a video copy of Dragonball Z 5.1 Majin Buu - Revival! Keep visiting the site as I'll hopefully have another competition in June! 12th May 2003 by gohan2k Extreme Competition Finished!, Invasion of the Androids!! The competition has come to an end but not wihout its share of drama. The final two people entered without giving their address and were therefore disqualified! I've emailed the winner and he wll be announced shortly... I've greatly updated the Character Guide and just before the release of the final Dragonball Z release in New Zealand, Kid Buu - The Price Of Victory, on Friday. Today in Dragonball Z History (May 12th) 750 A.D (Dragonball - Red Ribbon saga) After 3 days of training with Korin, Goku finally gets the Super Holy Water. Amazingly exactly 17 years later the Red Ribbon Arm returns..in the form of the Androids and Cell! 767 A.D (Dragonball Z - Androids saga) All of the Androids appear. Cell shows up later that day, Piccolo and Kami fuse. Piccolo is temporarily the strongest character, Goku suffers from his viral heart disease. Android saga repeats will be on tommorow while more new Dragonball Z will screen on Monday! Today in Dragonball Z History (May 9th) 750 A.D (Dragonball - Red Ribbon saga) At 11:02 AM Bulma finishes repairing Gokus broken Dragon Radar, Goku and General Blue of the Red Ribbon Army fight in the sky above Penguin Village. Arale-chan beats Blue by herself, Tao Pai Pai kills Blue Shogun with only his tongue in a demonstration of his power, Goku is beaten almost to death by Tao Pai Pai at the base of Karin Tower, Goku begins climbing Karin Tower to increase his strength by drinking the holy water. 753 A.D. (Dragonball Z - Saiyan saga) Goku, training on King Kais planet in preparation for the arrival of the Saiyans on Earth, finally catches Bubbles after forty days of trying. 8th May 2003 by gohan2k New Beckett Dragonball Z Collector The latest issue of Beckett Dragonball Z Collector (April issue) is now in New Zealand and includes Bulma's Journal, Babidi Saga card images (Part One), Jakks Pacific DBZ toys, Dragonball Deaths (Part One), a review of Super Android 13, DBZ art gallery fan creations and more! I did quite a few updates to the Character Guide including additions of the characters of Bibidi, Bora, Dai Kaio, Garlic, Great Saiyaman 2, Kid Buu and Vegito so make sure you check those out! Yesterday I mentioned how in the Dragonball Z timeline Majin Buu was released yesterday (May 7th) well today in the Dragonball Z timeline the following things happened..... (774 A.D.) Buu kills almost every single person on Earth, Gotenks and Piccolo fight Buu, Piccolo, Gotenks and Gohan are absorbed by Buu, Old Kai gives Goku his life allowing him to return to Earth, Vegeta returns to Earth with the help of Baba, Buu destroys the Earth, Porunga restores the Earth, Vegetas life is restored when all of the good people who died are wished back to life, Goku destroys Buu with the Super Spirit Bomb. What a day that must of been! So when you watch Dragonball Z today remember that the stuff you are seeing happened sometime on May 8th 774 A.D (in the Dragonball Z timeline of course). |

| 7th May 2003 by gohan2k Happy Dragonball Z Day! I know what your thinking, has gohan2k lost his mind? Well let me explain... In Japan for one of the Dragonball Z Daizenshuu's (a super cool Dragonball Z Encyclopaedia) they created a timeline giving dates that events in Dragonball and Dragonball Z happened. With Star Wars Day being on May 4th ("may the fourth be with you") I thought the Dragonball Z should have its own day. After looking through the dates it seems that the entire month of May was a pretty big month in the DBZ World but I chose May 7th as this was the day of the Tenkaichi Budokai (World Tournament) andtherefore lot of things happened. Heres some of the things that happened on May 7th in the DBZ World... 750 A.D. The 21st Tenkaichi Budoukai takes place. Jackie Chun wins. Goku takes second place,Goku, The Red Ribbon Army and Pilaf struggle for control of the Dragon Balls. The Red Ribbon Army get the 6-Star Dragon Ball from Pilaf's base in the desert. Just to clarify this means.... 1. One entry per person - You can only enter once 2. One entry per email address - You can only enter once through a certain email address eg Joe enters the competition by emailing me from [email protected] and then later Susie also enters through the email address [email protected] then only the first email (Joe's) would be counted. 3. One entry per street address - eg David Jones enters the competition with his address being 15 Lake Road then his brother, Jake Jones enters next with his address also being 15 Lake Road then only Davids entry would count. Coming Soon! 1st May 2003 by gohan2k Funimation Thanks the Fans Sorry about the no update yesterday but I was unable to modify this page in any way due to a technical difficulty. I waited to see if it wouild fix itself but when today it was the same so I redid the whole page... In news Funimation has thanked the fans of Dragonball for the excellent launch of Dragonball GT in America. Heres what they had to say on the DBZ official site... "The atmosphere at FUNimation became thick with excitement and anticipation as the release date of Dragon Ball GT rapidly neared. The buzz surrounding the arrival of the amazing last chapter of the story of Goku was enormous, and we knew that we had to rise to the occasion to make Dragon Ball GT the very best of the Dragon Ball franchise. With great confidence I feel that we have accomplished this goal, making Dragon Ball GT another Nation Wide Best Seller. Everyone here at FUNimation would like to thank you, the fans, for your continued outstanding support of Dragonball GT. Producing a show like Dragonball GT requires a great amount of time, effort, and hard work, but the positive response and resounding cries for more make what we do so very worthwhile and serves to fuel us on to never back down, to never become complacent, and to always strive to outdo ourselves. I feel that I speak for everyone at FUNimation when I say with heartfelt gratitude, thank you. Without your continued support none of this would be possible. Be on the lookout for more Dragon Ball GT releases in the upcoming weeks. As you can see from the first release, Affliction, Dragon Ball GT is like nothing youve seen before. If you think you know Dragonball, you haven't seen anything yet! With Thanks FUNimation Productions, Ltd" Of course I've had truckloads of emails asking about GT and its release in NZ and Australia and when it will be on TV in the USA so check out the Ask Gohan section for answers! And finally today I'd like to recommend you all go see the new X-men movie called X-Men 2 (or X2 for short) as its awesome! I went to see the midnight premiere on Tuesday night (just for the hell of it) and it was well worth it. May is set to be a good month for movies with movies such as The Matrix Reloaded being released although the next two months also look exciting with Terminator 3, 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Hulk and Charlie's Angels 2 coming out in New Zealand in either June or July. 29th April 2003 by gohan2k Official Explanation on TV3 "Episode Skip" Unfortuntely theres no good news on the TV3 episode skip fiasco. If you missed yesterdays DBZ I suggest you read the update below this one explaining about how TV3 has skipped a major part of the series. Of course many people on the TV3 Website Message Board also wondered why the episodes were skipped and they got an explanation which, unfortunately doesn't contain any good news... "We have had real trouble getting the new episodes and when they arrived last week we discovered there were 16 missing. However they were missing from the end of the previous series, not the start of the episodes we are playing now. Unfortunately we cannot get the missing 16 episodes at all, but because you had all been waiting so long we decided to go ahead and play what we do have anyway. We appreciate this isn't the ideal solution, but playing some new episodes is better than nothing!" - Tracy, TV3 As you can see its not the ray of hope I was expecting especially this particular part "Unfortunately we cannot get the missing sixteen episodes at all". Now thats just terrible..Does this mean we will NEVER get to see Goku go Super Saiyan 3 for the first time? or NEVER get to see the first fusion, that between Goten and Trunks into Gotenks? (on TV3 that is) A major part of the series has been skipped and this means those who have not seen the videos/DVDs will now be seriously confused. I recommend one or both of either of the following options... Cheaper Option: Visit this page and read the episode summaries for episodes 223 to 237 and also check out this page for images from those episodes which should explain everything thats going on. More Expensive Option: Rent or buy the videos or DVD's for Dragonball Z volumes 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 The downside is the cost but the upside is all the episodes will be more uncut than they are on TV! A final note to the NZ DBZ CCG player, Song C, who came second at the recent Australia/New Zealand DBZ CCG Nationals. Song was the only New Zealand player among the 32 Australian finalists. The winner was Shaun B of Victoria. Both Shaun and Song will be heading to the World Championships! Conngratulations to Song and represent NZ with Pride at Worlds. See the top 32 by clicking here 28th April 2003 by gohan2k New DBZ on TV Today!!! Don't forget to check out the new episodes of DBZ today on TV3 at 4.30pm. If you want to see how Majin Buu survives Vegeta's self explosion then make sure you watch! New DBZ begins with "Evil Lives On" today! Soon I'll have an episode guide up at the left side of this page so you can find which episode is on which day. (UPDATE AT 5PM) TV3 Skip Sixteen Episodes of DBZ! Wow! I was VERY confused when I watched todays Dragonball Z. Yes it was a new episode but it was not the one it was supposed to be....Instead of it being the proper episode 223. "Evil Lives on" TV3 skipped 16 episodes and went straight to 239. "The Evil of Men"!! Confused at this I immediately rang TV3 to ask what was going on. They told me that late last week they realised they didn't have the first 16 episodes and decided to play the eisodes they did have anyway. Unfortunately some VERY important stuff is included in those skipped episodes including the revival of Kibito, the fusion of Goten and Trunks into Gotenks, Goku turning Super Saiyan3 for the first time, Gohan and the Z sword, Goku returning to the afterlife, the death of Babidi and how Majin Buu and Hercule became friends!. I recommend checking out this page which has an image guide for the events from the revival of Buu in "Evil Lives On" to Goku going super saiyan 3 in "Super Saiyan 3?!". These episodes have NOT been skipped permanently and will probably be played after they reach the end of the episodes they have (assuming they don't get the episodes and then restart them from where they should of begun) Meanwhile, NZoom has put up a lot of video interviews with many of the guests that attended the Auckland Armageddon Expo on April 12-14 including the voice of Goku, Sean Schemmel so click here to go the page and see the interview! Oh and don't forget to check out part two of the four part comic "Bulma has a baby" at the bottom of this page! |
