This is a story of which may interest you all, for it is the Dueling Monsters Legend.
In a time when the earth was dark and almost void there were humans and rulers. These rulers controlled devastating monsters called Shadow creatures. These creatures were how they waged war upon one another. Soon they accually turned it into a game called the Shadow Games. They decided upon strengths and weaknesses also they used magic with the Shadow Monsters. Some to make them stronger and some to make opponents weaker. Also some other types of magic.
The game was somehow lost or forgotten...no one is sure which. But quite some years later a man read a book about this game and decided to make it a card game in which everything was the same monsters, magic, and more. It started slow and then hit like wildfire everyone wanted to play. Now it is refered to as Duel Monsters and is played on Holo projectors so that the monsters can be seen and awed upon. Quite impressive is the realizm.
