Yes, I am dancing naked in a field.

Water as a means to an end

I am screaming at the falls
where the water crashes and bangs and thunders
on the bones of the earth.
The freight train roar rushing over my voice
shaping and bending me
like a challenge, and invitation to dance
but soon, merely a backdrop to whatever you are

I showed you a water-carved bowl, deep in the stone
a cauldron with a soft-pebbled floor
just big enough for two.
It was a crucible
where we were melted down
and given the shape of desire in the green sand.
we found a voice there
and we screamed at the falls.

then, in the rippling pool below
we laid out our long legs
smiled sunburned smiles
and flayed our hearts.
discarding the skin of sin and distance
while the minnows in their millions
kissed us a million times over.
