Argyyle shifted his body so that his chest was angled towards Dans, regaining his balance. His leg, still coming forward, lashed out and around the inside of Dans right leg, striking at the inside of the right knee. To counterbalance, Argyyle's body leaned well back, placing him out of range of the forearm smash. His left arm came up and around the outside of Dans arc, striking with Dans blow, attempting to push the arm further from Argyyle. Argyyles sword, with Dans on top, simply dropped to touch at Dans leading leg.

Dan let the momentum of Argyyle's counters carry him around in a move that would give a contortionist a headache, moving with the blow on his knee instead of trying to stop it, falling on his right leg to trap Argyyle's foot with his body weight, pulling his left leg back out of range of his enemy's strike, folding it around under him in a smooth move to a kneeling position. (Dans final position is kneeling, Argyyle's left foot trapped by my right leg in front, left knee on the ground with foot extending back.) Having removed any chance of damage from the misguided kick, his right arm is pushed away from Argyyle's neck Dan rotated it sharply, bending at the elbow to bring a blow back with that same elbow with a strike now aimed at Argyyle's left kidney. The momentum of the fall and Argyyle's own sword blow aided Dan's sword strike as he simply allowed his stun saber to slide along Argyyle's blade to the completely vulnerable arm holding it, using his enemy's strike against him.

As Argyyles left leg became trapped by his opponents knee, Argyyle pivoted to the left on his right foot, going with the attack, bending his right knee. Argyyles left arm ceases its movement to Argyyles right, reversing and sweeping around to the left instead. Argyyle's twist moved his body out of alignment with Dans attack, and he brought his left forearm under Dans attacking arm, trying to trap Dans arm against his side. Argyyle grunted with the impact. He wouldnt be pissing blood but damn if it didnt hurt anyway. Argyyle twisted his right arm into his body, pivoting his wrist so it is facing up, sword tip sliding along the ground. He brought his arm up and out from his left to his right, sword angled down, trying to touch the entire length of his blade to Dans face and chest.

Dan grinned as he fell off his left knee onto his right foot, going up on his toes and twisted with Argyyle's grip, moving counter-clockwise (from Dan's perspective) to interpose his enemy between himself and the awkwardly incoming sword strike. (Argyyles trapped leg would be released in the process.) Continuing the motion, Dan bent forward at the waist as his left foot came down to rest flat on the floor, his right knee also down, trying to use Argyyle's own pin to throw him over Dan's right shoulder. Dan tucked his left hand down with sword extended such that Argyyle would land squarely on top of it were the throw to succeed.

Argyyle felt Dans shift in position, felt Dan try to throw him with his own arm, and smiled as he lets Dans arm pull from his grip as Dan bent over. Argyyle continued his counterclockwise motion, tightening his control over the sword, letting his original movement slide the blade neatly at Dans nose, which would be squarely between Dans knees.

As Dan felt Argyyle's hold disappear, Dan reacted by quickly straightening his right arm, then reaching down and underneath himself to grab at Argyyle's previously trapped leg. Dan pulled up with his unaugmented but still quite formidable strength to put Argyyle's center of gravity up over Dan's shoulder. Continuing into a shoulder roll himself over the same shoulder, using Argyyle as cushioning, Dan released his grip on his own sword as Argyyle's back is pressed firmly against it. Dan pushed up with his own legs to make sure that even if Argyyle didn't pitch over on his own, he would roll over on top of Argyyle and onto the sword, thereby avoiding Argyyle's own clumsy swing, continuing his roll to come to his feet moving away from his fallen opponent, who would paralyzed from the ribs down.

Argyyles sword continued in its original path and touched Dans head as Dan grabbed at Argyyles leg. Dan instantly lost all control of his body, tumbling into Argyyle and bowling them both over much as Dan had intended. Argyyle landed on Dans sword, and they both lay unconscious.
