| The Fight With Dan Part One |
| Argyyle entered the arena, thumbing the activation switch of his stun sword. Argyyle bowed to Danthros and stepped into a fencing stance Dan entered opposite Argyyle, closing to five meters before drawing his sword, slipping into his standard combat stance of left foot slightly forward, feet shoulder-width apart, sword held two-handed (right hand uppermost on hilt) by his right hip with the tip angling up past his left shoulder. Danthros nodded to his opponent's bow. "You are a worthy opponent... I shall enjoy this." Argyyle smiled a small still smile, nodded, and flicked a quick slash at Dans upper left arm. Argyyle's sword, held in his right hand, was a streak as it flashed around from his right to Dan's left. Dan grinned inwardly, sensing his opponent's desire to test his defenses. He extended his left arm fully, bringing his sword vertical to block Argyyle's slash before it can hit his left side, following up by pivoting sharply on his left foot, kicking straight out at Argyyle's midsection with his right foot, hard enough to crack ribs if it connects, his heavy boots aiding the blow. Argyyle sank into a deep riding stance. His right foot rotated to its left ninety degrees, making both feet parallel, his chest still facing Dan�s incoming kick. His raised left arm came down, his elbow striking at Dan�s ankle hard enough to bruise the bone. Argyyle�s sword riposetted off Dan�s parry coming around in a circle down (clockwise from Argyyle�s point of view) to strike at Dan�s supporting left leg. Dan simply let the motion from the blocked kick carry him off slightly to his right, his ankle protected by his boots. Releasing his sword with his right hand, the sword pivoted 180� from its previous position with the twisting his left wrist. The sword was now held vertically point-down to block Argyyle's riposte. He touched down with his right foot and immediately transferred his weight, effectively side-stepping away from Argyyle's blow. The momentum carried his right hand across in a backhanded smack (side of hand would impact) aimed at Argyyle's chin. Argyyle leaned back far enough to let the tips of Dan�s fingertips pass with about a centimeter to spare between his chin and Dan�s hand. Simultaneously, Argyyle brought his sword out and around in a counter clockwise arc. While the sword was at the apex of the arc, Argyyle chambered his left hand on his hip and began to lunge forward. As the sword Slashed at Dan�s neck, Argyyles left hand curled into a fist and smashed at Dan�s diaphragm. Argyyle�s left leg, coming forward, raises, preparing to propel his knee at Dan�s exposed and waiting genitals. Dan continued his motion onto his right leg, his weight having already been transferred, lifting up his left leg and swinging it around backwards, essentially pivoting to the left on his right leg. His left hand performed the same motion with the sword as previously, only in reverse, pivoting at the wrist & forearm to bring the sword back to a vertical position to block the blow at his throat, letting the hand dip a bit to take the hit on the mid-section of the blade. Dan reversed the momentum with his right arm as he turned to bring his forearm back at the rear of Argyyle's neck, fist closed so that the bone underneath would hit the neck. The pivot added momentum to the blow as his left leg came to rest similar to his initial stance, left leg forward at shoulder-width, weight falling back evenly onto both feet and ready for any movement. |
