My name is Elien and I'm currently 21 years old and I live in Belgium.
I graduated from college in 2006, where I studied Tourism but I am now going to study Marketing in another college for 2 more years.

I grew up in Bruges with my big brother Michiel and my big sister Heleen and I can't say that I had a bad childhood. I still live in Bruges with my parents Jan and Anne, my siblings already moved out. My sister already got married too and I have to say I have the best brother-in-law there is in the world!

I just love animals so it comes as no surprise that I had my share of pets in the past. Currently I only have one dog Harp and a black cat Meneertje. I lost too many pets already to be able to put them all in here...

I'm very passionate about tv and movies, I have a ton of shows I watch and I'm addicted to watching movies on DVD. My fav shows are Charmed, The O.C., Desperate Housewives, Gilmore Girls, Nip/Tuck, CSI, ER, Firefly, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Friends, Supernatural, Heroes and Sex And The City.
My fav movies are Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Go, LOTR, Face/Off, Kill Bill, Star Wars, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Bella Maffia.
My personal obsession can best be placed here as well, he's not really an obsession of mine, I've just followed his career for many years and I just adore him! The person I'm talking about is Shane West, got to love him!

Another passion of mine is music, I've played the guitar for over 6 years but quit a while back because I didn't really enjoy it, now my preference goes out to the drums. I'm mostly into Nu-Metal but Punk and regular Rock can please me just as much from time to time.
My fav bands are Lostprophets, Queens Of The Stone Age, Adema, Jonny Was, Green Day, Korn, Papa Roach, Sum 41, Cold and Coldplay.

Because of my studies I also love traveling, it's just a fantastic feeling when you can explore another country and so it is my dream to visit countries outside of Europe (I've practically been everywhere in Europe already), I especially want to go to New Zealand, Canada, USA, Nepal, Australia and Japan.

I'm priviledged to have many friends in my life, most of them I met in school and then there are others that I met online. My closest real life friends are Eveline, Evi, Nele, Meggie, Iris, Jessika and Simon and my closest online friends are Lilea, Sarah, Ortal, Hannah, Kat, Hollie, Kristen, Ileeyah, Mack, Joyce, Julie, Kathy, Amy, Rasmia, Tora, Lyds, Kerri, Connie and Andrew.

I'm online a lot and when I'm online my most fav place to go is shattered-heart.net/forums, the forum I can't live without lol I'm currently a moderator there and man is it nice to have that responsibility. I'm also on neopets a lot, I started playing when I was just a teenager but I'm still hooked at this point, mainly because I met so many great people there who are still my friends to this very day! That's mainly where my nickname bananagirl comes from as my username on neopets is bananagirl_1 and on the forum it's bananagirl, I'm practically associated with that name lol
