Thomas Landry set the record for most years coaching a single team with 29 for the Dallas Cowboys. He won 2 Super Bowls and NFL Coach of the Year in 1966 and the NFC Coach of the Year in 1975. He is an iconic image for one of the most known franchises.
Jimmy Johnson was a great coach for the University of Miami in college before being called upon by his old college teammate, Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones had purchased the Dallas Cowboys in 1989 and wanted to start anew after firing Legendary Tom Landry. Jimmy Johnson will always be remember for his saying "How Bout Them Cowboys". He won 2 Super Bowls with the team and is currently working for CBS doing football broadcasts on Sundays.
Barry Switzer took over for Jimmy Johnson when there was a falling out between Johnson and owner Jones. Switzer inherited a great team that just won 2 Super Bowls and took them on to win the last Super Bowl for the franchise in 1995. The Cowboys are still trying to figure out the way to get back to the Super Bowl and it won't be an easy task considering it has been 20 plus years since their last appearance.
