What kind of tours do Gobiin Ogloo (GO) offer?
Gobiin Ogloo offers 4 main types of tours: adventure, eco, cultural
& historical and special interest tours. Please click on the
left scroll bar to see our tours.
Group size
Depending on the number of participants, GO arranges tours for
group and individuals and also accommodates for families. Adventure
tours are for small groups of 6-10 people, while the cultural
& historical tours are aimed at bigger groups of 15-20 people.
Who goes with GO
Everybody who loves nature, adventure and the discovery of mystical
places. We arrange tours for anyone between 18-60 years of age
in good physical condoition. Adventure tours require a suitable
standard of physical fitness.
Special interest tours
We arrange special interest tours for professionals such as photographers,
businessmen, scientists on special events: solar and lunar eclipses,
buddhist ceremonies.
Trans-Siberian and Trans-Chinese rail tours
One of the specialities of GO is our ability to arrange trips
by the Trans-Siberian, Trans-Chinese and Trans-Mongolian railways.
We can make bookings for train tickets and tours to China and
Russia.
Standards
Depending on the customer`s level of fitness and interests, we
can arrange a customised tour to suit every individual. We can
provide soft or hard adventure or the combination of both! You
can request a trip just to suit you.
Accomodation
In Ulaanbaatar, you hae the option to stay at in a twin room at
one of Mongolia's many comfortable hotels. On adventure tours
accommodation, two person tents are used. Some tours offer accommodation
in tourist "gher-camps" in traditional Mongolian felt-tents
with toilets, restaurants and other facilities. Each gher accomodates
2-4 people.
Food
Ulaanbaatar has a wide range of restaurants with both Asian and
European cuisines. During your trip in the countryside, your cook
will serve meals based on traditional Mongolian cuisine. Do not
miss an opportunity to taste "khorkhog" one of our famous
delicacies - sliced meat cooked with hot rocks. In every gher
you will be treated to dairy products especially airag - fermented
mare's milk.
Mode of transport
The most reliable modes of transport in Mongolia are the Russian
and Korean 4x4 jeeps and mini-buses. The lengths of daily excursions
will vary depending on travel routes. The number of paved roads
is very minimal and a wide network of natural dirt roads run through
the country. Some tours will include domestic flights.
Equipment
We`ll provide you with high quality two-man tents with bed matresses.
On horse riding trips we`ll provide Cossack saddles which are
more comfortable than the Mongolian wooden saddles. The camels
will have special carpet saddles with stirrups.
In order to make your trip easier, we have provide for you below
