Controversial : Britney'S New Image... What About The Music?

Is it just me, or when Britney Spears is getting ready to release a new album, the focus of all talk by her and her people is 'she's gonna shock you with her image' and 'oh, she'll shock you with the music too' seems to take a backseat... of a very LARGE car?
Don't get me wrong, I don't think one can keep the same old look year after year. If we did, we'd all still be in cute, frilly pink dresses (as girls) and whatever your mom dressed you in that day (as boys)!! But come on...lets get real here. Lets all get a clue. Does anyone find it sick that Britney feels the need to reinvent her look year after year and SHOCK us each 'album era', and only RARELY talk about the music. You almost have to drag the info about the music out of her to get her to even mention it, but the IMAGE is never forgotten.
I'm just getting sick of this 'oh, she looks amazing', 'oh, she looks beautiful' mumbo jumbo that goes on between fans; notice they rarely talk about the music themselves!! Hell, even our very own elgato has said 'She sucks, but she's hot as hell'!! I guess, though, when you have no talent, and your music is absolutely DREADFUL, to say the least, and all you have are your looks, then that's what you're going to focus on. It's really quite sad.
Now, I don't necessarily LIKE Avril Lavigne, and I think her IMAGE is just as put together as Britney's, but lets face it, that's not what the main topic of conversation is about her... WITH her!! She talks about her music; agree with her or not, her focus IS her music (which I do feel is good pop music, far from the punk she wants it to be). EVERYONE has an image that they have made for themselves, and everyone is constantly growing or evolving or changing; however they want to put it. But the only 'evolution' we've seen from Britney Spears is from 'trampy' to 'more trampy' to 'damn near porn star' to 'wanna be bad girl trashy tramp'... see a pattern here? If not, I'll gladly lay it out for you; just drop me a line! Sure, some of you will say 'she just grew up'... but if you ask me, putting your clothes ON in the morning and acting like a reserved, mature adult makes you grown up, not dressing in barely there outfits and forgetting your bra day after day. That just shows your lack of maturity, self confidence, and shows how ignorant you really are. And it's not just on stage that she does this... no no... It's on the streets in PUBLIC that she oh so slyly lets the world know 'I forgot my bra today....you can tell, because I'm very obviously cold!!'

#2 WorldofBritney.com got really annoyed at this lol Apparently it's not cool to like "30 year old boyband members" even though they sing live (because Britney fans assume people only like them because of their looks, it seems like they do that with their own music so they assume others do it as well). Hm, I think Britney fans are a little confused about image vs talent.
Rumor: What To Expect From Brand Spanking New Music Weekend
On May 30th at 4PM, MTV News will show all fans footage of when they headed
into the studio with Britney through TRL. This means you will be able to check
out new songs from the 4th album. This is what apparently will be shown:
3 Songs will be heard:
-1 song she wrote entirely by herself, one night in Mexico, sweet?!
-1 sample: “material girl” in the beginning, upbeat.
-She played a long riff on the piano - live?
No duetThere is a song about “masturbation” - subliminal.
Single to be released late summer.
#1 No duets? lol No one wanted to sing with her? What a pity.

not so nice about Britney. They said that while performing 'Like I Love You',

Britney's Fame Gets Lynne Outta Trouble
In the May 12th issue of People Magazine, Britney Spears' mother Lynne is
quoted as saying: "Cops look at my driver's license and ask, 'Do you
know Britney?' I say, 'Why yes, she's my duaghter.' Then they'll tell me which
part of the highway I can go faster on." It's the issue's 'Quote of the
Week'.
#1 I saw that. Doesn't surprise me. She taught Britney not to take responsibility for her actions too so of course she won't.
Smoking Spears Lets Her Food Get Cold
The New York Post reports Britney Spears was barely able to finish her dinner
at Mortons of Chicago in Los Angeles the other night because she was leaving
her seat so often to smoke cigarettes, complying with the state's indoor smoking
ban.
#1 Again, does this surprise anyone? Her voice is absolutely horrific as it is, yet she doesn't seem to mind making it worse.

He's said before that he's a huge fan of Britney so I'm sure he meant this in a nice way, but at the same time, it can be taken truthfully. She's not natural at all. Her airbrushing images differ greatly from her candid pictures. Not to mention, she exercises a lot because her image depends on a "tight body" so she's worked off any natural curves... I also find it annoying that he said "kids." We know a lot of her fans are children, but why would we want to show them a picture of Britney and act like that is what every girl should look like (which he implied by saying "false hope")!?
Lip-synching like her big sister! How sweet.
"She's just her," Jamie Lynn says, adding that her sister gave
her tips on making it in show business after she'd auditioned and won a spot
on All That. "She did, yeah, I'm sure she did," she says, trying
to recall the advice. "But I don't know what she said now."
Jamie Lynn is too cool for advice, obviously... but seriously it wouldn't help to take advice from someone like Britney anyway, especially when it comes to something that requires skills and talent.

Photo Shoot
I put the best three first. I like these, especially the dresses in the first
too and the hair in the last. She has the innocent look, fully clothed, and
pretty natural looking. What went wrong?
The first one is such a bad picture of her! The hair is simple, nothing special,
but her face looks abnormal (her nose seems larger then it is now...) and
her eyes seem to have heavy bags. Did they forget to airbrush it completely?
The second one is probably one of the most known shoots of her, used to compare
"before" her "knee" surgery. The last one, simple, she's
actually on a bed though, but fully dressed.
This picture is a fuller image of the last picture that's above. Ugly sweater
but it covers her at least. The second one: bad lip-stick. Enough said. The
last, she faking the smile too much. It's annoying. Her hair looks nice, simple
but nice.
I like the first one, face and hair wise. I'm not really into the pose. It
looks like she's waiting for bail in jail for a bad porn flick. The second
one, her face looks odd. Her hair is cut bad but the outfit is okay. The last,
she faking the smile too much again. The outfit is okay- just jeans and a
tank top - but her skin seems to overly tan.
Stupid photo shoots with her emerging from a blue paper-like background, but
it's simple and it works for her age. The second one is nice. I love black
and white pictures. Very innocent looking. The last one, she has the fake
smile again and too much pink in that picture.
Awards Appearance
American Music Awards - 1999
Adorable. Of course you don't hear that a lot with her. The dress is very
simple but pretty. The hair is nice and her natural color. She's not selling
an image here. She looks sincere.
TV Appearances
Howie Mandel
-laughs- Her whole look is very dorky looking here. The way her hair is over
her ears makes them very pointy looking and her facial expressions thoughout
the show are one of a stupid child.
Appearance - ?
Starting to dye her hair, but her image hasn't gone skank yet. She's covered.
MTV
Talking of her first experience in the studio. She says "ya know"
many times, it got extremely annoying to listen to.

She looks so young! A little pudgy but definitely not someone you'd want to
hate on. She looks sincere...
Old Beau (Reg Jones)
From Reg to Justin. Wow, her tastes have changed! I guess she'd rather go
for the hottie "everyone" wants (as MTV likes to say) then the normal
McDonald's-working fool (I mention McDonalds because she loves to say she
would date a worker at McDonalds if she loved him and that money/status doesn't
matter... yet she never has dated a 'normal guy' since her fame).
Concert
Opening for NSYNC
The make-up (especially the lipstick) is absolutely terrible! The outfits
are really ugly and of course the music is. No wonder a lot of NSYNC fans
don't like her - they had to see that!
Performance
Cute look. The shirt isn't too bad, the make-up looks nice.

I don't like the blue tube top. It's ugly. The hair is tacky and the make-up
(especially the lipstick) is terrible.
World Music Awards
Again with the innocent face shape. I haven't seen the performance but the
looks is concert-like, not too bad.
Mall Of America
Beginning of the blonde phase live. She really liked her bright yellow tight.
Fashion no-no. I heard some of this and she actually sang live. She had her
music back-her up but you can hear her live voice. She wasn't as bad as she
is today so it's amazing to know how bad she's actually gotten over the years.
Britney: "I went home for a concert, and all my family and friends were there and I felt really at home because I was really at home!"
Oh.. my.. gosh, can she get any stupider? Does her brain not connect to her mouth?
Britney and Minnie Mouse. I adore the picture. She looks really tanned though! She's not that naturally tan...

Though it's surprising that the "shirt"'s not chokingly tight, it's not at all surprising that it's so barely there. As for the "skirt," I don't need to see the outline of her pelvis thankyousomuch. Oh and I just noticed, I could wear hand towels around my waist that are covering more than her "skirt" is. In fact that actually looks like a towel I have, only mine's bigger. it looks like she's holding it up. repulsive.

want to be a role model to children...

MY REVIEW: The layout is easy to understand and use, but it's plain
and boring. The site has pictures (now and then), humor, her opinions, a .wav
of "Oh Boobie Boobie" playing, quotes, etc. Nothing too original,
but a fun simple page.
