Although gossipmongers will decry the absence of full-on confessionals ŕ la Timberlake’s annihilating “Cry Me a River,” Spears earns a gold star for not flogging her romantic woes in order to sell records. Rather, she uses In the Zone to strike a power pose. Even on the ballads “Everytime” and “Shadow,” she avoids the victim’s “you done me wrong” role in favor of portraying a woman empowered by pain and emboldened by the future. It’s during these moments that her position as one of the gay community’s newer and more appealing female icons is fully realized. Regardless of the rest of the world’s opinion, we get what Britney’s about—and it’s not just big hair and sex.

boom boom : her voice is so terrible! this is cd quality? her voice is squeaky and annoying. the song is basically about teasing guys... does she ever sing about something meaningful?speaking of him "watching every inch of her body" is pathetic, she's full of it. the intro "for the southern boys out there" >aren't southen guys supposed to
be gentlemen?! I doubt they'd be interested in her : / another dumb but catchy song - aren't she famous for that kind only? "she naked / she soaking wet / strip tease like a mmm" -rolls eyes- it's featuring Ying Yang Twins (who?)

outrageous : mentions "move my body at a party" . . . sexy jeans? "sex, drugs ... shopping spee" another deep song from britney?! plus, something about "her underwear"?? The rhyming is awful! Words were just shoved together that sounded okay, who cares if they have no meaning?

breathe on me : The song is basically just moaning & breathing like during sex... The music is awesome though, and I like how the music goes along but the lyrics ruin it... more pure sex. (IAS4U)

toxic : ...waiting. what?!? The song finished! lol it has nothing really even to it. I can't understand most of the words.. the beat is okay, but it's so loud the lyrics mean nothing. all I hear "Toxic... I'm addicted to you... I love what you do" -- another crush?! Seriously, change the subject already! lol it's catchy but dumb (like BOMT)...

touch of my hand : The masturbation song. Actually, even though the last thing I ever want an image of is Britney touching herself, some of the lyrics are nicely stated. Like "Can draw the blinds and I’ll teach myself to fly" and "From the small of my back and the arch of my feet"... The rhyming is really bad, you know exactly what's coming up because it's such obvious words (like "sin" and happenin’" then "over" and "lover" then "mind and "behind" etc)

the hook up : The song did nothing for me. At times, the music (beat) is okay, but the lyrics are terribly written. It's a dance song, so obvious meaning has no concern, but the overall layout of the song is pathetic. She jumps from one thing to the next ("Your body makes me wanna do / And the way that you move on the floor / Now I think I’m in love with you / Grab my waist")

shadow : at first the song really bores me, but the chorus is much nicer. Her voice, no matter what song, is annoying. I can't stand the sound of her voice, but the song itself isn't too bad. It's kind of weak, throwing sentences in at times, but some of the lyrics are nice, "It’s only your shadow / Filling the room / Arriving too late / And leaving too soon" and "You say it so loud, but you sound far away." This song shows more personality and isn't just another dumb dance song.

me against the music : the song we know of and the song I most hate. I don't know why, but this song annoys me. I've only heard it a couple times, but the lyrics are terrible and the vocals are ten times worse. Plus, Madonna's parts are just as bad. It was probably only released first to keep the "Madonna / Britney" thing going..

showdown : another terribly written sexual song. With lyrics like, "You lookin’ good when you’re half dressed" and "Is that a sin, no / Am I too hot for you though" and "And when you come (cum?), don’t get too hot." Also using an old saying, "What goes around comes around" with the famous lyrics already known, "I don’t really wanna be a tease / Would you undo my zipper, please" This song is a mess of stupid sentences, that give a sexual vibe but, again, are completely meaningless. But I guess no one cares what Britney Spears lip-synchs to.

early mornin : "I was out real late last night / Got a little messy" implying what? You'd think either too much drinking or sex!? Probably both with her. "I was shaking my ass in the streets" - how many times does she mention shaking her ass in a song? I swear at least half the songs have something like that. Is that new her "baby baby" saying? She's like a broken record. This song is okay, music wise, the lyrics are dumb, but it has a good beat to it (especially the chorus). Her songs are all about partying though...I tend to enjoy some actual substance to my songs...

Would I recommend buying this CD? Definitely not. You won't feel closer to Britney or even get a glimpse of her personality. You will get loud music with terrible lyrics you won't care to learn. Some songs are good to dance to (well, the music is) but definitely not worth money on. But then again, download it and see for yourself.

What is your opinion about the whole Britney / Madonna thing?

I think either they are getting a really big pay check for kissing all the time or they are secret lovers

I think they are lesbian lovers, that's why she's not a virgin anymore. She lost it to a strap on.

I think it’s all a put on. They’re makin you think they slept together when they didn’t. because Britney seen how strong Christina came back onto the scene. so she wanted to do the same. Except now she’s trying to go double far as Christina. Christina clearly stated once that she was bi sexual. And Britney is trying the SAME thing. Because she seen how much recognition Christina got but didn’t realize "hey.. maybe half the reason why she gets so much is because..*gasp* maybe she’s got TALENT?!" and she knows if she comes back on the scene...same ol britney.. same ol revealing shit she'll be recognized but not nearly as much as my girl Chrissy. BECAUSE 1) she’s done the shit for the last couple years. show her body and all that hoobla. and 2) because she has no talent. believe it or not some teenies look at that. therefore, she needs to do something more exotic. like make it look like madonna and her are gettin busy.

It’s completely for attention. madonna knows shes starting to slide and so is britney, so they get together and start the lesbian thing which they know will get peoples attention. it doesn’t even matter what kind of attention. I mean, look at tatu. They’re doing the lesbian thing too...hell, they started it! though they’ve seemed to take a dip in ratings or whatever, people know them for being the lesbian Russian chicks. it pisses me off that britney and madonna have lowered themselves even further just to get more press time. they both need to realize their time is up and disappear.

Can you say PUBLICITY STUNT? I mean, we know she's not actually gay, I doubt she cares about legalizing gay marriage and guess what? For awhile neither Madonna nor Britney were getting talked about in the media. Although Madonna may be considered one of the best female pop stars of her time, I think the general public sees a washed up 45 year old who can't sing worth crap. And as for Britney? Well, after her other publicity stunt (her 'relationship' with Justin), Justin received more attention and more fans for his new music style. They both needed something to boost sales and get some publicity. After this, what else is left to 'shock' America?

Its all for attention. That’s all there is to it. Britney has NO talent and she has to do publicity stunts like this to get media attention.

Her calendar - see any trends? Hm, I guess this isn't a NY calendar because most people don't wear little red dresses in the snow. The dress is hot (but very small), but all her photos look the same, it's pathetic. Can we get some actual personality seen? They are so highly airbrushed too, it seems more like dressing up barbie...

It's nice to know Britney Spears can also look rough after a night on the tiles.. looked a bit worse for wear the morning after her party at London's Rex Cinema Bar. Doesn't anyone realize her photo shoots are so heavily airbrushed that the "real" Britney is never as glamorous as they want to think? Her real skin looks about 10 years older and her hair is about half as long and thin. She looks very "normal" candidly, makes ya wonder what kind of denial these people live in.

I like the second picture - her hair extensions are very nice. The dress is the third is cute and she sincerely looks like she's having fun with them. I realized that I made a blend with these but never included the actual pictures. Both are done poorly. The first pose looks painful and even somewhat unnatural. Probably the work of the computer. The bottom half looks like an 8 year old girls' body. She really likes to mix the "little girl" and "woman" aspects into a photo shoot. Someone mentioned on E! or ET or AH at one point how that pose is very similar to one Pamela Anderson did on the cover of Rolling Stones a while ago. They showed it too, I mean VERY similar. The white (essence of purity and innocence) mixed with the holding of a blanket over the chest up against the wall... etc. Seriously, Britney do something original for once. The second picture, her face is so airbrushed it looks more like Pamela than Britney. The hair is obviously fake added to the disgusting yellow-green color. Her body is, again, shaped like a girl's body (has she not gone through puberty and gotten an actual waist yet?). And lastly, the overall look is, pardon my lack of a better expression, "white trash." Where's your brother/cousin/husband and your five kids hiding, Brit? Some where around the trailer park, eh?

I don't even know where to start. First off, what?!? Is she serious? She sounds like she's trying to be "deep" but it's not working for her - she keeps repeating herself... Here is a perfect example of how she seems to think she's in control, yet later on she keeps blaming others for what she does (the kiss was Madonna's idea, the risque photo shoots she didn't want to do - she won't do again, it was the "Redbull" that made her do it, she took 'classy' photoshoots that the magazines didn't use, etc). She's not even close to being a woman if she can't take responsibility for her actions. Still just a little girl.
