JOHN GOWDY, son of William GOWDYand Isabella FLEMING was born 23 Jan, 1793 in , , KY, and died 12 Oct, 1864 in Monmouth, Warren Co., IL. He married ANN STEELE 06 Mar, 1817 in Champaign, OH, daughter of JAMES STEELE and ANN.
