Established in 2001 by an anonymous benefactor, HUGRS is a place of Emancipation, Rehabilitation and Rest for all Freed Gnomes.

The Hidden Urban Gnome Reserve & Sanctuary (HUGRS) is located in Minneapolis, MN, which is in the northern part of the United States of America on the North American Continent.

HUGRS provides free on-site counseling, support groups, fresh air, sunshine and fellowship amongst other Freed Gnomes.  Our secure location is also home to many Gnomes who choose to freely reside here.

Hunting, trapping, netting, enslavement, oppression, repression and harassment of Gnomes is prohibited on the property.

The location is heavily guarded against intrusion by unfriendly factors for our Gnome protection.

Our mission is to help you, and Ourselves.

Whether you'd like to release your own Gnome by signing his/her Emancipation Papers and helping him/her reach the Reserve to recuperate, or by giving a HUG to a Freed Gnome currently residing at the Reserve, we welcome you to this website and applaud you for your help.
