| Presented by: Dr. Charles Nolan This presentation will highlight the role of records management in establishing the new St. Louis Cathedral / Old Ursuline Convent: A Catholic Cultural Heritage Center. Many familiar components of a records management and archives program - inventory, provenance, appraisal, accuracy, description, storage, security, finding aids, disposition, etc. - find new applications in the center's development and implementation. The center also provides new challenges in the use of information: to determine historical perspective; to provide education; and to integrate archives and records management into a larger cultural heritage world that includes painting, sculpture, architecture, libraries, music, etc. All this is taking place within an international perspective. |
