| Rob motioned to approve the minutes of the last meeting and Melanie seconded the motion. Minutes approved. |
| 1. Jennifer gave a report of the Leadership Conference she attended in New Mexico. She said it was very informative and educational. Educational opportunities such as seminars and webinars were stressed upon. Also, voting online for ARMA elections was an important topic. Check the SW region's website for more information. 2. Bosses' Luncheon - menu and Cost. Cost for the lunch will be $35 for members and $40 for non-members. Bosses are considered non-members. Sheila will be Melanie's "back up" with taking reservations for the luncheon. The first notice will be sent out one week after the September meeting, and the second notice will be sent out one week before the luncheon. |

| President's Report: |
| Rob seconded the motion to pay the entire amount of Jennifer's trip to the Leadership Conference in New Mexico. A copy of the 990 form that was mailed in was given to Kathryn. Kathryn took the check for the Secretary of State and will deliver. A check for dues to ARMA International for Bruce Kojane was mailed. |

| 1. Charley G's is closing at the end of August. Andrea's in Metairie was recommended for the September meeting. Rob will handle the Sept. meeting for Kathryn - she will be out of town. Jennifer will change the meeting place on the website. 2. Changing by-laws on archiving - Gaylane is on the Legal Committee and out of town. Tabled until next month. 3. Donating our archives - Kathryn motioned and Melanie seconded to donate our newsletters to the New Orleans Archives. Rob will attempt to obtain the newsletters and also find the cookbooks. 4. Spring Conference - Government, Ethics, Open Meetings Laws, etc. 5. Webinar - Topic: Records Retention on Thursday, 8.28 at 1PM. Rob motioned and Jennifer seconded for GNO_ARMA to pay the $95 fee for at least 5 attendees to view the webinar at Advanced Imaging Solutions. 6. Meeting minutes will be emailed to all GNO members |
