Old Business:
Registration: Of the 2,079 hotel rooms that have been reserved for the Conference, 30% have been filled. The Hilton is the host hotel. Julia Vercher has arranged to get badges for the GNO-ARMA members that will be working the Conference. There will be a Publicity Committee meeting Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at noon. The meeting will be held at the Stone Pigman office, 546 Carondelet St. At the last Publicity Committee meeting it was decided to sell GNO-ARMA Cookbooks only. There will also be hourly drawings for various New Orleans type items. ARMA International 2002 Conference Representatives will be in town on Thursday, July 25th to do a final walk through of the conference facilities. On September 21, 2002 volunteers will be at Iron Mountains facility in Harahan to stuff conference bags.
Cookbook: Sharon Hembree reported that all the supplies for the cookbook have been donated by various vendors therefore there will be no cost to GNO-ARMA. The cookbooks will be sold for $15.00 each. This will cover the cost of any book orders that need to be shipped. Sharon printed one copy of the cookbook and asked for a volunteer to proofread it and get back to her with any changes. Pam Couste will read the cookbook and report to Sharon.
Leadership Conference: The Board voted to pay for 3 members to attend the Leadership Conference in Lafayette. 3 members GNO-ARMA paying for: Rob Perry, Pam Couste and Kathryn Smith. 2 members GNO-ARMA not paying for: Monica Chauvin and Sue Vogel.
New Business:
Chapter of the Year: Rob Perry asked if the Board wanted to submit for COTY. Pam Couste said that it would take a lot of work to organize the information to submit to ARMA International. Julia Vercher said that in order to have the submission considered we would have to have a big project to work on. Barbara Jacob asked what qualified as a big project.  The Board explained that the last time we applied to COTY (and won), we had helped recover and preserve records from a convent that had been damaged by a flood. Rob said that he would organize all the data that was collected during the year for submission to the COTY Committee. The Board approved trying for this award.
2003 Web site of the Year:
Monica Chauvin has submitted the application letter for Web Site of the Year.
Melissa Ebert confirmed receipt of the application on July 22, 2002.

SII (Strategic Information Institute) / SIM (Strategic Information Management):
Monica passed a letter to the Board.  The letter expressed concerns and viewpoint about this new concept of ARMA International. The Board decided to sign the letter to show their support for the views expressed in it. The signed letter will be sent to ARMA International. Monica will also e-mail a copy of the letter to GNO-ARMA members asking for feedback. All responses will be electronically forwarded to each member of the Board of Directors of ARMA International and the two candidates for president-elect.
Committees:
Rob Perry said each committee will be asked to meet once a quarter to discuss committee business and report to the board.  He handed out a list of GNO-ARMA Committees and their obligations.
