Our Mission

Jnanarnava means "Ocean of knowledge." The trust has taken many steps to establish its mission from the fundamental value of preserving traditions.

The Jnanarnava Trust's mission is:

• to promote the preservation of Indian musical traditions

• to facilitate exchanges of art and culture between India and other countries

• to restore and archive the practices and traditions of ancient Indian classical music

• to showcase early methods of presentation of the various musical forms in India

• to research and document extensively in the field of Indian classical music, focusing on Carnatic music

• to publish various manuscripts, books, research papers, and findings in the field of classical music tradition
