I love the outdoors. That is to a certain extent. I can't tolerate the sun so the beach is a no no but I love a nice lake and lots of trees. Another stipulation-fairly warm-not less than 45 degrees! I take medication and have a lot of trouble tolerating the cold which is not a good thing for where I live-right now the wind chill is below zero. Heaven would be living in a cabin surrounded by trees along a creek. Ahhhhhhh. For now I have to settle for my yard. We have lots of trees-too many actually but most are evergreens. There are 2 peach trees, dogwoods, a tiny red maple, and a crab apple tree. There is also a large maple that hangs over the yard on one side. I have an unused 2-room aviary out there and a cement pond. Yes, we had one before the Clampetts. Gram used to have large Koi in it years ago. Now I just have a lot of large frogs that live there amongst the duckweed. The frogs can be pretty entertaining though. I am not able to do the yard work any more so my landscape and garden are a bit messy. There are still several rose bushes there and various things that reseed themselves. I love the sound of the wind chimes that I hang in the trees. I also have several bird feeders, which attract blue jays, chicadees, goldfinches, tufted titmice, cardinals, and more. I have these upside down feeders for the gold finches and it is an unbelievable sight when there are 6 birds hanging upside down eating at once. I can watch them all from my kitchen window!
