![]() This is the spot where I am going to ramble. I will be selecting a background-I just did didn't I. There are so so many beautiful ones. I usually go looking for something with a certain theme in mind as to what the topic is. I come across so many that I love but they just don't suit my purpose so on this page I will be putting something that I love for one reason or another and it just doesn't have to go with anything at all and will be changed.~ I begged Collectin Cat, my quiltin' buddy for this one-so as of today its here to stay! I love it! ![]() In March our Musings leader decided to resign from doing the Musings and hoped someone would carry it on so I volunteered. I am looking at html and adding to it now which is something I have not done in the past but it is going along and so far so good.I am no longer doing this as I have dropped out of competition and duties, although I am still in egroup and ring.(1/2002) It was in my travels around the Kingdom of Camelot in search of Spirit pages that I found these Trouble Trees at the home of Margawse. As is when you are visiting it is easy to get distracted because you follow links checking things out. ![]() Well there is a humorous tale here about leaving your troubles with the trouble tree. The idea seems real appealing to me as I have a lot of troubles and worse yet new ones. In addition where I live there are many old trees that have faces in them like these. Of course I obsessed and adopted a lot of these trees so I can leave my various troubles with the different trees. Hey maybe it will help! I'll try most things-once! So that's whats up with all the trees in my site. That's it for now but take the time to click on the tree and go read the story and adopt a few yourself! When my daughter,Alyza, was an undergraduate she belonged to Order of the Golden Lions/Markland. This is a medieval reinactment group. While a member she made 2 medieval period dresses using the construction method where the whole dress was cut from one piece of cloth and hand sewn. Since graduating she bought a sewing machine and has made this Renaissance dress from a pattern. This one is faux authentic-the teal velvet is polyester and the light blue moire is rayon acetate and has joined pieces. The pattern called for a zipper but she couldn't bring herself to do that and put gromets up the back and sleeve for laced closure to make it more authentic... ~pictured below~ ![]() Whew hew hew..I am doing the happy dance...look HERE to see why...whewwwwww hhhhoooooooo...more happy dance! ![]() In a recent conversation with a friend a little ditty from my childhood came to mind......here are the words...Mommy told me something A little kid should know... It's all about the devil And I've learned to hate him so... She said he causes trouble When you let him in the room, He will never ever leave you If your heart is filled with gloom So let the sun shine in Face it with a grin... Smilers never lose And frowners never win... So let the sun shine in Face it with a grin Open up your heart and let the sun shine in When you are unhappy The devil wears a grin... But oh, he starts to running When the light comes pouring in... I know he'll be unhappy 'Cause I'll never wear a frown... Maybe if we keep on smiling He'll get tired of hanging 'round. If I forget to say my prayers The devil jumps with glee... But he feels so awful awful When he sees me on my knees... So if you're full of trouble And you never seem to win Just open up your heart and let the sun shine in So let the sun shine in Face it with a grin... Smilers never lose And frowners never win... So let the sun shine in Face it with a grin Open up your heart And let the sun shine in...seq. by Stephen Touchet ...written by Stuart Hamblen. ![]() ~911~A dark day in all our lives-filled with disbelief, anguish, sorrow and fear, followed by heroism, patriotism, faith and hope~my memorial with a lot of help from my net friends~ ![]() Well my lovebirds,Alice and Cooper, have been busy! In late September they laid 5 eggs! Near the end of October they have started "throwing" the eggs out one by one-so far they have thrown out 2; they have pushed the remaining 3 to the front of the box and have now started laying more eggs near the back!update/12/14~more eggs~no babies! ![]() I have been trying to learn new things which in turn helps me learn how to use the tools. In egroup a link to some tuts was passed on soooo you can view my resultsHERE~ ![]() My my I haven't been here in awhile which means I have been busy! I was invited to join Fablers O'Fortune in late March. To make it brief I joined staff right away. members have come and gone. I have no idea why some of them join! They hardly participate in egroup and partake in few if any of the activities we provide. Sometimes I think they just want pressys and birthday pages...I was 'promoted' to Flounder-then Founder-now there are the 2 of us left.We have several very talented ladies assisting in the endeavor...thats about it for now anyway! I'm back! Things have changed even faster! Due to circumstances beyond our control 'we' were not able to continue this group. So one day I just said to myself heck with it lets go for it and I got us a domain and host! Well it took us a few weeks. By us I mean Tams, Ruthi, and I and major help of Tina, too. It was no easy task between the 4 of us alot of real life stuff was going on-and I mean alot! BUT we now have our brand new net group! It's called Nuttin' but Sunshine. If you are here you saw our member map on my front page and our banner on my introduction page. CHECK US OUT! ~wishing you nuttin' but sunshine~ |
