I was the Unit Public
Affairs Representative at the Benefield Anechoic Facility at Edwards Air
Force Base when Touchstone Pictures came to town to shoot part of a little
film called "Armageddon". As the UPAR, I was assigned to lead
the project - 200+ film crew, a dozen USAF agencies, ten 18-wheelers,
at least as many trailers, several stars, 4 months planning, 2 days facility
prep, 2 days of shooting and one awesome caterer. They came in 2 weeks
behind schedule and we helped put them 5 days ahead. Touchstone thanked
me by putting me in the film and letting me drive the "Armadillo". |
