To all of our wedding guests, please not that the Union League Club abides by a dress code, which must be adhered to as follows:
     "It is the responsibility of any member inviting a guest into the Clubhouse to inform his or her guests of the dress code requirements.
      Business Casual Attire or better is permitted throughout the clubhouse with the exception of specific events for which a higher mode of dress (such as      Business Dress Attire, black tie or white tie) is specified.
      Business Casual Attire is defined as for men, a collared shirt (including turtleneck) and slacks (without jacket or tie). For women business casual      includes slacks or skirt with blouse or sweater.
     Business Dress Attire (for ladies and gentlemen 16 years and older). Men: Business suit or sport coat and slacks with collared shirt and tie. Women:     Suit (including business pantsuit), dress or blazer with skirt or slacks.
     The following are strictly prohibited: (except on floors 10 or above and when checking in or out of the club guestrooms) overalls, tee-shirt, trading      jackets, cut-offs, sweatshirts, denim jackets and any clothing that is tattered or contains inappropriate language. Blue jeans are not permitted in the          clubhouse except on Saturdays before 6:00 p.m. and on Sundays.
     If you must enter the club in athletic attire, please use the athletic entrance located on Federal Street just south of the revolving door entrance."
Blocks have also been reserved at The Palmer House Hilton To reserve a room at the Palmer House please call general reservations at 312-726-7500 and mention the Glynn/Watts block. If you contact either hotel to reserve a room and they tell you the block is full, please contact us and we will expand our block. Please note that there is no dress code at the Palmer House.
Both hotels are brief walks to the Art Institute of Chicago, the Auditorium and other theaters, Buckingham Fountain, Sears Tower, the Civic Opera House and many cultural attractions. Just a short taxi ride away is shopping on the "magnificent mile," the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, the National Vietnam Museum, Navy Pier and other city highlights.
The church is approximatley a 10 minute ride away from either hotel.
