Unhealthy Food Ads
The influence that advertised junk food has on children has become a widespread concern.  Research shows that children that watch more television are exposed to a higher number of "junk" food ads. The consumption of unhealthy foods, and the lack of physical activity will lead
to obesity and a higher risk of health problems
According to research published in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity:

-  54% of ads are food ads

          -  24% of the ads are for snack/desserts

          -  17% of the ads are for breakfast cereals

          -  7% of the ads are for fast food restaurants

-  65% of breakfast cereal shown in ads are high in sugar and/or fat

-  95% of fast food restaurant budgets are allocated to television

-  11 out of 19 commericals per hour are for food

-  44% of the ads promote food from the fat and sweets group
