Living A Good Rural Life Enjoying Farming and Appreciating the Beautiful Nature along with Changing Seasons
The Four Seasons or SpringSummerAutumn&Winter is the name of our small farm as well as retreat located at Chungwoon-myun Yangpyung-gun, Kyunggi-do near Hongchun Gangwon-do, Korea. It is about 60 km or 40 miles east of Seoul. We enjoy living our golden years at the Four Seasons doing farming and landscaping appreciating the changing seasons and beautiflul natural environment around the place. We grow fruit trees, vegetables, grains such as apples, pears, grapes, persimons, peaches, plums, chestnuts, walnuts, ginkos, dates, sweet corns, various beans, peanuts, tomatoes, melons, water melons, sweet pumkins, cucumbers, cabbages, radishes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, red peppers, eggplants etc.. We do the farming in small scale since we are growing them as part of our hobbies for self-satisfaction or pure enjoyment and self-sufficiency or only for family consumption and not for sale.
It is only two years since we started cultivating the farm and we are still learning how to do organic farming, gardening and landscaping. We have typical distinct beautiful Four Seasons in Korea whereby the Spring is warm, Summer is hot, Autumn is cool and nice and the Winter is cold. I think WORK is very important part of LIFE and I can say that Work is Life and Life is Work. Why don't we enjoy working for the sake of living A Good Happy Life !
