Does your ISP limit e-mail attachments to 1.5, 5, 10, or 20 Megabytes?  Need more?

1-
Upload your large file(s) to a Host;
2-
Send your intended recipient a link;
3-
Download is effected with that link.

Cost- Amost all offer "Premium" accounts, but many are free, and some are only free!

Signup- Often required, several do not require registration, or even an e-mail address.

File types- Often restricted to media, but others allow all types of files.

File-sizes- Limits vary from 1.5Mb to 2 Gigs.

Storage- From 10Mb to 2 Gigs. (Mediamax gives 25Gigs free!)

Bandwidth- Most are limited, but many offer seemingly unlimited downloads per month.

Expiration- Most hosts purge files for non-use after 7 to 180 days, but some are "forever."

SPECIAL NOTE:  Web based file storage hosts are also an excellent option for BACKUP of your system. Make sure that your files will not be purged, however several storage hosts actually focus on secure, even synchronized, backup services.

ALSO- When running out of hard drive space one could store data before or during an upgrade.  A great option for techs.

MediaMax is currently in transition and experiencing technical difficulties which they are struggling to resolve.  It is included here because it will definitely be the one to watch.
