Global Clan Killers

SniperK2: I got bored so I thought I'd have a go at tampering with this website NEWS section again. a word of warning - I really havent got the foggiest what I'm doing on here and the code that is around these sentences (invisible expect to the NEO's of this world) really makes no sense to me what-so-ever. Therefore, If this is coming out as complete garbled bull***t then I apologise.

I do hope that I've managed to skip a line and start a new paragraph. If so, then great......on with the news - It's been a quiet few months on the Clan match side of things recently and most of our members have been playing lots of different games to everbody else, however, at the same time most people have been keeping in contact via the GCK forums and the occasional game together. After our recent exposure in OXM (thanks Janitor) we have started to get more interest in us from other like minded gamers who enjoy a good friendly game session on Xbox Live and like to feel part of a team without the hassle of more traditional clan's. Recently Reddevil, Tony and I have been getting games underway on lots of the old classics like GR and RTCW and it's been great fun. We are gonna try to make this a regular thing so if anyone wishes to join us in these games then let us know via the GCK forums and we'll arrange to fit you in with us. I also strongly believe that we can start to get some decent matches sorted out soon on games like CounterStrike and Wolfie against other clans and get a little more variation on our RESULTS page on the Forums. At the moment we have an unbeaten record on SOF2 and I feel that we could get good results on the other main games.........once again, I apologise if this is all jumbled up and not broken down into paragraphs, but I did try to do it a minute ago and made a total bulls up of the page, so I had to bunch it all up into this mess of a text......(come back FOXACHE all is forgiven.....Foxache will be with us again soon, I've been informed by his younger brother that his Connection is messed up at the moment and he's also been really busy making Online games for xbox, but as soon as he is able he'll be back to join our crusade)......Anyway, Thats it for now, I want to get back to my Xbox for some RTCW action (great fun!!!)......See you online soon and remeber to keep up to date with whats going on with the GCK by visiting the forums.................Regards SniperK2

Foxache: Not been a news update for a while. Please email me with any ideas for a good excuse, I can't think of one this time. Damn, now I'm here I can't be bothered to type. *sigh* ah well, here we go anyway.

So... let's have some news.

Mr Dan (of the Wary and Deadly variety) shocked the founders by launching a rebel assault on the GCK founders. I must say, as a born traitor myself, I'm highly impressed. The GCK founders were obviously rattled... myself, I was considering joining Dans team if we started taking a beating. That's the beauty of my flexible loyalty. ;-)
In other news, we're pleased to officially welcome Thabod to the GCK. A lot of you will know 'bod already as he's been a friend to members of the GCK for a while now. Good to have you aboard, mate. Looking forward to seeing you online.
The GCK is growing at a rate now. We're currently trying to work out ways to involve you all more in games and also to vary the games played by the members. Keep your eyes on the forum for news. (okay, so this is the page you'd expect to get news from... it does say NEWS at the top... but it's really just me waffling... totally unreliable.)

Foxache: Well, there's been no news update from me for a while. As I say, I'm not sure if anyone reads these anyway. Still, I feel like typing.
So... what's new with the GCK? I hear you ask. Well, we finally got to play the Bullet Dodgers at SOF2. We won. First Round 6-1, second 6-0, third 6-0 and the last round didn't get played cos BD threw the towel in. They seemed to be good sports and all was happy and jolly... or so we thought. News has since seeped through that despite their amicable attitude in public, nasty words have been thrown around behind closed doors in secret messages. Still, we couldn't give a fuck less, really. This whole clan game thing is about playing Live and winning for your team. It's not about who can mouth off loudest or who's a nice bloke and who aint... save that for real life.
Still, some good has come of it. Triple, a good friend of the GCK for some time but originally a Bullet Dodger, has officially joined us now. Some of the BDs were more than a touch nasty to her after her GCK mates thrashed them at SOF2. Bollocks to 'em, I say. If they can't handle losing they should either stop playing online or get better... lot's better if they want to play us again! ;-)
And that's about it from me for now. I'd like to say hello to all the BDs that aren't being assholes behind our backs and a big 'shut it, losers' to all the ones that are. Laters.

Foxache: It's tradition or a rule or something that when you run a website, you should do the news updates less and less frequently as the novelty wears off. But me... I don't follow the rules! I have a far more inventive excuse for not bothering for ages. *ahem* I decided that if I updated less, there would be more exciting news to give you... and that's exactly what I've got for you today, loads of news! It's times like this, when there's such an abundance of news that I'm thankful we have a News Page. So here goes:
Firstly, there's the shock news that the GCK and the Bullet Dodgers appear to be on friendly terms. I am currently enduring abuse from my own team for sorting out my differences with Newbie. I dunno, you do one friendly thing and suddenly you're soft. Still, it gave me a good reason to play against my own team and give them a thorough thrashing. ;-)
I've saved the best til last though... as you may have noticed, there are spaces on our members list reserved for 'Masters' and the 'Elite'. I'm pleased to announce we have our first promotion to the rank of Master. This honour is only awarded to GCKers that repeatedly and consistently achieve excellent scores on XBox Live. I can quite honestly say, I can't think of anyone more deserving. This mans kill count is always up there with that of the founding members of the GCK and he frequently tops the score boards. A fantastic team player and a loyal GCK member, aside from kickin' ass, this man has recruited many members for the anti-clan.
So, after a unanimous vote from all the founders, I am pleased to present to you, the very first GCK Master:
For his outstanding contribution to the GCK SOF2 team.

27 July 2003:
Foxache: Well , with SniperK2 on holiday, I've been left in charge of the troops. Obviously, I wanted to make the best of this opportunity. My first plan was to assess the squads ability to work without direct leadership, to effectively test this I immediately granted my request for the weekend off. The urge to come back and do some work was so strong, I had problems resisting... I found that getting blind drunk on Saturday night and spending Sunday at Donington, drinking and watching touring car racing just about kept me away from here.
I hope the anti-clan has learnt from this valuable excercise in self leadership. God knows I've put every effort into this. Sniper would be proud! Anyway... have I actually got any news today? Of course I have... here goes:
This week, I intend to put together some intra-anti-clan matches, where we pit ourseleves against the toughest enemy of all... no, not Hamburgler... or Baron Greenback... but ourselves! If anyone has any ideas for organising the teams, let me know. Organising your own teams is another important lesson in taking initiative and being pro-active about your clan membership... obviously not me trying to weasel out of doing it myself.

Right, I've got to go water the plants in the GCK offices.

23 July 2003:
Foxache: So, we finally got to play against Project Zero. We did have to wait around for an hour before they finally turned up with two of their team missing. 6 on 4 is a bit of a hollow victory for us. Hopefully we'll get to play them again soon, when they're a bit more organised. Still, it was good fun and we won! The results are on the new 'Match Resutls' page, click the link up there and go see.
While we were waiting, I was playing with grenades, trying to get my timing right... suddenly, the rest of team are staring at me saying 'uuuuurgh, look at foxache's face!!!!'. Naturally, I was a bit disturbed by this, my health was still full and my player felt fine and dandy. After the staring subsided, I persuaded Sniper to take a pic with his camera and mail it to me... this is the horrible result.

Don't play with grenades, kids!

20 July 2003:
Foxache: Well, well. We have a match lined up for Tommorrow night against Project Zero so the squad are enduring rigorous training under the watchful eye of SniperK2. At the moment it's a 50-50 mixture of incredibly precise team stategies and incredibly laughable f*ck-ups. Take for example, foxache (that's me) luring an entire team into a corridor in SOF2 and managing to blow 3 of them away with a single frag grenade... but then, while observing the damage and gloating lots, I lose my concentration and get shotgunned to death by the one remaining enemy... my immortal last words were: 'ha ha haa!! That dude's got no feet left!!' *BLAM, BLAM!*
Then during a particularly tense match, I leap off the roof onto the fire escape... well, I was supposed to land on the fire escape... I actually landed on the concrete 3 floors below... right next to team-mate Viper Jehuty. He was still laughing at the start of the next round... right up until he fired a random shotgun blast and accidentally took Reddevils' head clean off his shoulders.I didn't hear Reds last words for laughing, but I can guarantee the words 'freakin' and 'maniac' were among them. ;-)
If we can get these not inconsiderable creases ironed out of our well oiled fighting machine before tommorrow night, we should be fine.

Anyways, I'm gonna get back to training... right after I've had a beer and some dinner. :-)

- Y'know, I actually enjoy writing these news updates. I'm kinda happy with this site too... sure, it displays all the web-design finnesse of a hastily cobbled together porn site, but hey, I'm havin' fun. :-) I'm not even sure if anyone reads any of this... except YOU of course... ya loser! ;-
- Ok... so have I got any news? BOY HAVE I GOT NEWS!! Today saw the long awaited return of founding member 'tony sailor'. Apparently, it was Tony's idea to start the anti-clan, then he goes on holiday for two weeks cunningly avoiding the abuse and flaming we got from clan members. Yeah, nice one... good holiday was it, Tone?
- Judging by his performance tonight in SOF2, Tony is back on top form. He celebrated his return in the only was he knows how... it was incredible, you should've seen him. The first enemy he sees, he throws down his AK and knifes him to death... then picks up the AK again, runs toward his victims teamate and bayonets him with it! True tony sailor style.
- Oh yeah, and I finally updated the members list.

Yes, no great surprise in the fact that people still aren't understanding. Still spitting flame in forums around the globe. STILL NOT GETTING IT!!!! If anyone out there stills plays XBox Live while they're not whining about us in the forums with their scary clan mates, please, give us a shout. We'd like a game.
Anyway, in other news. There's been more changes to the bloody members list, which means me opening up Photoshop and making more fancy green and white buttons. Arse. :-( It's all so much easier typing codshite in the news section.
Also, Viper Jehuty has taken it upon himself to represent us in UNREAL CHAMPIONSHIP games. This is good news cos it means I don't have to bother playing it again! ;-)

Anyway, I'd best get on with it, I'm wasting valuable drinking time. See you in the pub!

Foxache: I just read the thread on the britbox forum... maybe should've done that before! It's nice to see some people appreciated the humour. However, I don't know if I should be flattered or pissed off with the 'look at the site, these guys are serious' quote... look at the site? A couple of hours with Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Hardly a masterpiece. :-) Looks like if you're taking the piss you're sposed to have an ugly site. Bugger. Still, cheers anyhow. It's nice to know if I ever wanted to build a scary clan site, I'd be okay at it.
So, we got us a reputation! Not bad in under 24 hours.

Good playing tonight from the GCK... highlight for me was SniperK2 getting stressed, mixing his words and shouting 'I've been shit by a snooper!' Class, mate. ;-) Viper and Bobbins antics never fail to amuse, either. Had me in tears!

Foxache: Blimey, riling clans was our aim and we certainly seem to be doing well. I've seen so many irate clan members today it's unbelivable. To be honest, I wasn't quite prepared for so much backlash so damn quickly. Still, very few of these clanners seem prepared to put their money where their mouth is and play us. Oh, and while I'm here... remember kids, before you get all angry and start spitting flames in your forum... (I'm coming out of character just for a second here) It's only a giggle, we don't really hate anyone... much... well, there's a few after today but the less said about them the better.
Anyways, what else. Oh yeah... before anyone else contacts us to point out the fact that we bear more than a passing resemblance to a clan ourselves, please ask someone with a sense of humour to help you understand before you type.
Ok, that said (at the risk of a beating from my anti-clan mates) I'm going back to business.
It has been suggested that we are targeting weak clans (not our words, but we agree) and that we are avoiding the top clans... this part is bull-poop... if we knew who they were they'd be top of our list. Any TOP CLANS out there, let us know.

Foxache: Excellent, this is all kicking off nicely. Already clans are biting. More fool them, I say. Murhahahaha! Anytime, losers!
SniperK2: It appears that more and more people are listening to and understanding the message of the GCK. WE HATE CLANS AND WANT TO THRASH EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. More and more budding GCKers are visting our humble site (thanks for that) and are starting to show an interest in our organisation. We experienced our first (un)friendly match against the PXL on Sat evening (12/07003)and truly inspired fear into them by kicking arse..... (i just hope that they will play us at a real game or 2 so that we can officailly claim their scalp.)
Just a quick note for anyone that is interested in joining our group of ANTI clanners. Visit the forum and request membership or send an email to us (via the contact us section).
Foxache: Alternatively, there's the Dead Mans Boots way of joining. This involves murdering an existing clan member in their sleep and taking their place. A complete list of clan members addresses can be obtained from me on request as well as the loan of a high powered sniper rifle and advice on good sniper spots around the area. Extra kudos for knife kills.
